I just think what people would like to see is GM respond to something, especially when they already have something ready to go. LS9 back a few years ago, LT5 now.

Exactly! The LS9 was a more special/exotic engine with all the titanium internals and such, so that made for a bit more reason to not bring it to Camaro, even though I still think they should've, even if it meant taking away some of the expensive parts. The LT5 is pretty much just a blower swap with additional fuel, so it should be a simple, low cost upgrade for the ZL1. GM can always add more power to the ZR1 and even put the LT5 in the Z06 as well, if they feel like they need to, but I don't see why they would. The Vette is a more exotic sports car than the Camaro, and its lighter weight and wider tires will keep its performance ahead of the Camaro, even with equal levels of power. Make it happen Team Camaro!!

High horsepower is all what you get used to. Plus, they have "Valet Mode" now and parents could only let them have the "slo Mo" key.

Speaking of high horsepower a long time ago. These were the "days of yore". I remember every one of these cars. Most of them on the street.

As much as I wish you were right, it’s absolutely not “inevitable”. 1 in a million chance of it happening.

Passing with my 6 speed auto is a challenge. You can mash the gas but it's a crap shoot on when the trans will downshift making it safe to pass. I like mechanical throttle linkage. It responds instantly to the foot.

Street racing is stupid and not safe.
Last night at the local drag strip there were several Camaro's to include a ZL1 which was running fairly consistent 7.49-50's @ 97+ mph.
That's about a 11.70 something.
