After looking around I think the Borla Type S with the stock shorties for me.

The low pitch is what I am looking for, but just a little more of it.

Been there done that LT into the suitcase thing on the 5th and 6th gens. Boomy, raspy, sound but fun at the track. Not so much on the street.

To me headers ruin the sound and not worth the tenth they give you for the price. I just wish there were ZL1 better heat resistant stock cat replacements. That limits the HP build, but how much power is enough?

The system is a little loud when the valves are closed, and ear splitting, hear it in the next town LOUD when they are open and the peddle is on the floor!

Startup is real loud but really no louder than with the stock muffler (all this with headers). Obviously no NPP so doesn't quiet down after a few seconds like the stock muffler but is not that bad. To me sounds good. WOT really isn't much different volume wise except tone. Cruising highway speeds are fine. Minimal drone.

Overall not quieter but sounds way better all way around. Took that crappy blatty sound from stock muffler at low rpm. Still will look to quiet down but will off this setup. A few exhaust guys have suggested hi flow resonators. Maybe try that after a while.

Installed Borla type S. Loud as hell, no drone. Will try and post some sound clips in the next couple days
