Yup that looks like me, I was the only blue 1LE there that day. What were you driving?

4 Laps behind a GT3RS in Oschersleben. I had some issues with the alignment walking a bit and making the car harder to balance than usual, but still a fun day. Will use new screws for next alignment and would recommend using them only once as described in a different thread.
@Track Club: You were definitely right about Race PTM. Despite Sport2 allowing the car to slip a bit, race is for sure less invasive and giving some extra % of power on the exits. With the price of full slipping when not carefully applying mid corner throttle Feels great overall and is the right way to get better. Thanks for the hint!

My friend lives in the Netherlands. My bucket list trip includes Spa and Nürburgring. I may have to add Oschersleben to that list. Looks like a blast!

Nice laps! Very consistent, great throttle modulation. With your throttle control/modulation, Sport 2 would definitely hold you back, glad race is better. I’d love to see the looks the SS 1LE gets at European events! Now go to the Nordscheife already-I want to see a full or BTG lap!

Thanks! That means a lot coming from smn with your skill. Trying to learn with every track day. Next time around I definitely want to run a low 44. Should be doable with correct toe again, and would be enough to beat the 1:45:0 time of the Cayman GT4 on fastestlaps.com (done by a club driver). I love duels with gt4s Why don’t you guys submit some of your fast laps too? We gotta promote our 1LE a bit, it´s got only 5 tracks next to it.

The car is definitely an eye catcher here!! Many are very surprised to see a big american car go fast around a track, so there are a lot of fun encounters in the pits. Most are very excited to see that, but of course occasionally people are pissed because they paid so much for their Porsches

Haha Yeah sub 7 needs to be the goal Some friends tell me to go there too.
The problem is that at trackday level so many people lose their cars there, which makes it super hard to control the overall risk. No runout zones, so one mistake can cost you your own car. The only way to do it for me would be by taking a permit class there, where people take it seriously. Let’s see, maybe I’ll consider it next season.
Gotta say I’m very happy with GP tracks though, so Spa in August will be a big highlight for sure!

It is a very flowing and rhythmic track! I like it a lot myself because small changes in entry speeds can make a big impact.
Bilster Berg is an incredible track as well, drawn by an F1 track designer. It is a bit of a sleeper because there are no real races held there.
I hope you´ll get the chance to drive on some of those! Given that your friend will let you borrow his car

This is at my local track. Running with full caged race cars in my stock Camaro. This Camaro is truly amazing.

Awesome job!!! Your driving is superb: you release the car very well without pinching the exits, great shifting (no early down shifts), your line is consistent, nice and smooth transitions! Absolutely dont worry about braking as that will come with time and practice and better feel for the traction et al. Focus on being smooth with controls and smooth weight transfer transitions. Just as you did!

NB Must have felt real good to pass yet not to get passed once and to lap that Miata too eh

3 tips - hope you dont mind:

1) run it in PTM Sport 1 next time. It will relax the car yet still maintain stabilitrak and tc for safety.

2) as suggested by your instructor: NEVER look at the car in front of you lest you will do exactly what he/she does including going off ALWAYS look at your intended line while keeping all cars in your peripheral vision only. Even if a car in front of you obscures your line you have to look where YOU want to go even if your line is obscured by another car in front. If you look at the car in front and he goes off you will follow suite - guaranteed. Thats how vision works.

3) stay closer to the car you want to pass while being mindful of the closing rates and not riding somebody's ass yet being *predictable* with your intentions. This will be more important as you go up in run groups. If you leave a few car lengths folks will never give you a point by in faster groups expecting you to "work for it" and instead will "race" you until you get quite close. By and large anyway.

Again, great driving: congratulations!
