ZL1 A10 adding lower pulley and tune, what gains to expect?

Hi everybody!

My A10 has only a TM throttle body and green filter, it did 561whp whp when tested. Adding a 15% pulley and tune, what gains can I expect? Will it push much harder at the beginning because sometimes I feel it too smooth compared to the reaction of a hellcat for example (I think is torque management but do not like it very much).

Thank you!!

I'm sorry, I do not have an answer to your question, but I do think that the Zl1 should pull just as hard down low as the hellcat. Yes, torque management is an issue, but I've run up against a couple stock hellcats on drag radials at the track, and I've been able to launch dead even with them, even with me being on street tires.

That might be due to driver skill more than the car's ability. My ZL1 is a monster no doubt. But my HC just feels insane.

You might not get the same "feel" as you'll get in a HC. But you can get it to launch/accelerate right with them and keep up due to the less weight and the awesome A10 trans. So it isn't always about how the car feels. I think a pulley and tune will make it feel completely different BTW!!

Does the a10 require tuning? Or is it possible to tune the a10?

I added 18% lower pulley, tune, headers, cai and ported throttle body. Car is a beast now amd went from running 126 to 128 in quarter mile to 134. I ran 10.88 spinning thru 1st and second on the stock tires. These mods will give you a solid 100hp at tires and makes the car thunder. Pulls on the highway like crazy.

That may be true if the driver had any skills , but I still think the ZL1 will pull just as hard as the hc down low with any driver. I've driven a hellcat and it's no doubt a monster. The feel is totally different than the ZL1, but just remember that the ZL1 has equal torque at a much lighter weight.
I don't doubt your assessment since you own both though, but the feel of a manual is totally different than an auto.

We have hit nearly 700whp/700lbft with a similar pulley on our X800 package, but you'll want to do some supporting mods to do it properly.
