Like you said, luckily it’s not a major issue. You should be back on the road fairly soon. Could be worse, trust me. I was in an accident Sunday morning (low speed) and my car is going to be totaled. Side swiped and mounted a guardrail.

Now waiting on insurance to get back to me on how much they are going to value the loss.
Aww, I saw that. Sorry to hear it. At least you're alright, that's the main thing.

I'm not sure if the TSB had anything to do with it, but they did perform that fix while they are waiting for the CPS. From what I understand, this is just some conduit going around some wires. They said the sensor connector was nearly broken in half, which doesn't sound related to me.

I guess I'll find out when I go pick it up (hopefully) later in the week.

I cant believe you saw my accident considering you’re from Chicago!!!. Social media is amazing. I didn’t post anything about it myself, anything that’s out there is from other people. I haven’t looked at it purposely, I can only imagine what stupidity and hate the internet is spewing.

Anyhow, yes sounds like the recall and your sensor issue are not related. Like I said, be grateful, you could be sidelined for much serious reasons.

Pic was from a NJ C&C, Alain is from NJ. Red 1LE and guardrails mentioned. Yep..very good chance. Fortunately no real bashing from this group, we are sad this happened.

Alain can you walk us through it? What happened man? What settings were you in, weather, tires?

It might prevent something similar from happening to one of us.

I’d rather not discuss the details on a public forum. I am still dealing with the insurance side of this debacle.

I would love to share with you guys to prevent someone else from suffering the same fate. Maybe at a later date.

Good news is that I found another ZL1 1LE, the exact same car minus the PDR and the navigation. I have a deposit on it while I wait for Geico to declare the car a total loss and tell me how much they are going to give me for it.

I am going to do all I possible can to get it. This Camaro is a car you keep for a lifetime.

Wish me luck fellers.

Can you elaborate sir? So far they’ve been really easy to deal with.

Send me a PM if you’d like. I want to be as educated as possible when it comes time to decide the value of the car.

I’d appreciate any insights you can share with me.

I did not catch it on video. I haven’t watched or read anything about it on the internet and I did not take any pictures.

It won’t do me any good and will only make it harder for me to move on from this if I watch or look at any pictures.

Thank you for your thoughts. I don’t have kids and I’m not married so my cars are like family members to me. Luckily they are replaceable family members....... it still sucks big time.

Hate to ask the elephant in the room question, but was it...solely driver error?
