I was gonna say I think you have a leak. One time my intake filter came off the intake pipe and the car sounded super cammed because it was getting too much air.

I have a MSD that has a slight idle issue and my car does backfire when I start it up. Can you help me out and give a good detailed explanation on how you fixed it? Mine could be leaking from the main gasket but i want to see first if i have the same leak as you.
