The ATS is a nice well sorted car and its much better looking than the 3 series BMW. I wish Cadillac did a LT1 instead of the twin turbo V6 in the ATS.

My DD? A base model 2014 Nissan Versa... Hell the thing has manual roll down windows and manual locks... At work I'll drive when we go out for group lunches. People see the small car and generally comment about not fitting in the back. Then they get in and this thing has the most leg room they've ever seen. Same for me in any car I've ever owned including my wife's Equinox.

I can put the front seat all the way back and my knees still don't touch the front seat it if I'm in the back. What is Nissan doing right while Chevy crams us in their vehicles???
Its because the Nissan versa is a ugly little box. Lets see Nissan build a high performance 2 door coupe that is stylish and see what kind of back seat room there is. Almost impossible to have a super strong chassis and drive train with super good looks in a 2door configuration that has 4 door rear seat . Have to consider the bulk needed for a stiff chassis to handle the bulk of the powerful drive train and suspension components that take a lot of room.

I compared it to the ATS sedan. Not the Camaro. Compared to the ATS the Nissan Versa trumps it on leg room.

However, you're right, the Versa is an absolutely ugly little shit box as far as looks and performance go. But, I didn't buy a Nissan Versa thinking it was a car that I could look cool in or drive on a track. I bought it because I'm a cheap ass when it comes to DDs and, surprisingly could fit four 6'2"+ adults rather comfortably if needed.

Nissan makes the GTR. It can fit four full sized adults. Not comfortably, but it's not supposed to. Just like the Camaro really isn't either. Although I'd argue that the Camaro has less leg room than the GTR.

I bought the Camaro on the other hand, for a fun weekend car. I have two other vehicles for trips with more than two people if needed.

Does it now? Last time I tried to crawl into the back of a GTR, I decided the only way that was happening was if I amputated my legs...then realized there was a speaker where my arms should be, anyways...

At least in the Camaro I got in there. It was painful...but I got in.

No, it cannot.

They have 4 seats. They cannot fit 4 full sized adults.

Shouldn't compare interior space or a FWD shitbox and a rwd car. There are obvious reasons rwd vehicle has less interior space and much better driving dynamics.

Yep, same here. I'm 5'7", and the SS fits around me nicely. If I were 6'2" and large-framed...well, I might have wound up in a different car. Hard to say.

Wow, I didnt realize the Nissan versa has more room inside than a ATS sedan. I know the caddy roof line is lower (better looks) but rear leg room shouldn't be tighter unless the low roof line doesn't allow caddy to push the rear seat farther back.

Regarding the GTR, I would have to have the length , width , height specs because the car is heavy compared to a Camaro so its dimensions maybe bigger allowing for more room. IMO, most of the Camaro enthusiasts would sacrifice room for less weight, I sure as hell do.

All in all I do agree the Camaro roof could be 2 inches higher, the front and back glass could be equally taller or 2 inches closer to the roof center line and the belt line dropped 2 inches. Better visibility, a little more room with virtually same outside dimensions and same weight.

I didn't say comfortably. I'm saying if you had to cram 4 adults into it by pushing the front seats uncomfortably forward you could manage. However I didn't really explain that.

But honestly. Arguing about Camaro vs GTR legroom is pointless. That wasn't really my intentions. They both have almost non-existent leg room.

I wasn't... I compared the ATS to the Versa... The mistake I made was at the very end saying Chevy instead of Cadillac. Although to be fair the Chevy cars aren't much better in my opinion.

It was just meant to be a passing post. Not hijack the thread or change the subject.

I'm sure it's somewhat subjective on the room in the back seat for the sedans based on how someone is built anyway. Just like it's subjective if a ZL1 1LE isn't a bone/back jarring ride on the street.

But for me the s**t box had more room.

Anyway... I'm dropping the subject before mlee comes in here and backhands me for running a thread off topic.

BRING ON THE CAMARO REFRESH!
