I think it's just the reflection of the bush... Just hit 100 miles on the car so I haven't started ripping it apart quite yet.

No problem. That's what Chevy calls the color. It's a sweet color. In some light, it almost looks black, but most of the time it's a very dark grey metallic with a satin finish.

car looks great! I’d definitely learn to wash it differently than however you’ve been doing it up to now. The swirls are bad! If you can avoid the dealer and go to a real detailer that would be best. The hacks at the dealer will take out the swirls and a good portion of your clear coat.

Appreciate it bro. I learned the vehicle had a wrap on when I returned to the dealership the next day, that’s when I seen the swirls all over the vehicle. I didn’t notice it cause of lack of light the day prior. They insinuated someone deliberately did that to the car basically trying to put it on us. It was about to get ugly so I had to refrain and use my clerical skills and hammer them on a review. They agreed to fix the problem after I hammered them online with a bad review. It should have had to go there but they will lie and do whatever needs to be done to bully you into swallowing what they can.... here is the review and response...

From the very start of the car buying experience with Five star ford we were met with the judgmental attitude of we didn’t belong there. Being thick skinned people we pushed through the assumptions and continued with pursing the vehicle we wanted to purchase. Things went ok for the most part of getting a deal done without too much of a hassle. We left with the vehicle around the close of business and took the vehicle home. We returned to Dealership the next morning to finish up some things we didn’t complete yesterday. Upon our return to the dealership we notice scratches on the hood, roof, and trunk. The vehicle is black so it was easy to miss. We informed Ri***** of the situation and he began to insinuate that “someone had done that to the vehicle” and it wasn’t like that when it was at the dealership. Basically saying we had did that to the car or someone purposely did that to the car. By the end of the conversation he walked back his words and said it was in this condition on the lot. Ri****agreed to get his detail guys to buff out the scratches and we could bring it in on Monday or Thursday which is today. We brought the vehicle in on Wednesday night so they could jump on it first thing this morning. I arrived at the dealership yesterday evening and was met by an employee asking me about the vehicle. He continued to inform me that the 2016 Camaro SS had a wrap on the vehicle when it was brought in and helped the guy with the trade in of this vehicle. Having some common sense I put two and two together and those scratches must have come from the removal of the wrap. Ri**** and T**** met me at the door where I handed them the key and it was taken around back to the service department. We didn’t hear from Five Star Ford for most of the day and when we called to check on the status of the vehicle we were told it wasn’t ready yet and it should be done soon. The second call was a confirmation of things to be done on the vehicle. The third time we called we were informed that it hadn’t been touched therefore the vehicle had been sitting there all day. That’s just unprofessional and down right unsatisfactory to say the least. I can’t express how this makes us feel as customers and veterans who sacrificed countless years of our lives in service to afford the people of this country to treat us with disrespect and lies. I truly wish I had read the reviews of this dealership before we jumped on a vehicle for purchase. I am completely and utterly disgusted with this experience of Five Star Ford.

Wow. What a shitty experience. It may be worth a shot to let the general manager know that because of your horrible experience you’d prefer to use a local detailer, and then get a quote. Maybe he will just pay for it and that will be that.

That’s what they have done, they have scheduled a shop to pick it up and have it done by Wednesday. They are giving me a loaner car for the time being while they get my car squared away. I didn’t like going the route I did, I shouldn’t have had to (basically) jump up and down for them to do the right thing. I’m a disabled vet and had two major back surgeries last year. The 6th will be one year recovery time from my three level back fusion so trying to do it myself would’ve been impossible but I shouldn’t be faced with that when buying a car....

warning:I don't want to make you paranoid, but this might:

Remember the detailer is working for them and not you. I had a really bad past experience when my Accord when missing for an hour while their contracted tint shop had it. The dealer defended them because they "had never had a problem before". I reviewed my dash cam and saw it literally being repeatedly hit until it fell off the windshield. The worst part is the shop didn't fix their previous bad tint job completely, so I pushed the dealer and got them to cut a check to take it to a real shop.
