I've had the same issues as well in Van. But It's not as bad as it sounded like in the OP, it mostly shimmies when I go over the connecting pieces on the Alex Fraser bridge. It gives a quick wiggle in the back like I'm about to lose control but nothing major. Not so much on the highways though even with visible

I just made a commute on the 91 today earlier when it was uglier. I was cruising down at 140km/hr towards Richmond from New West and had no issues there on the connector. Where abouts specifically do you get the problem? Next time it rains I'll test it for myself too.

Yeah, connecting pieces on bridges is definitely a different thing than this. This is going straight, on perfectly good asphalt, at anything over about 80km/h, constantly, not just for a moment. Like for minutes at a time. No idea if it would do it at 140, when I'm commuting there's too much traffic to do more than 80km/h, if I'm lucky.

For a bit of fun, this is known as tramlining!

Learned that a few days ago.

Yeah my first thought was tramlining as well.

Too much negative camber will increase sensitivity to tramlining too.

Can't really help you here, but what sizes are you running? They make them in the stock tire size for the front, but not for the rear. Are yours 315/35 in the back? How do you like them? Are they able to put down the power well (in dry conditions)? I may be interested in a set of these for the winter, as it gets below freezing here often, but not much snow so it doesn't really warrant a snow tire.

The rear are 275. I thought that was the factory size (but these were on the car when I got it) are they not?

I don't really know how to describe how they are... they're the only tires I've known on this car, and I've never driven anything with this much torque, so I don't really know whether they're good or bad. The only objective thing I can say is: on a g circle (I'm guessing around 80 ft diameter) on dry asphalt at a performance driving course the lateral g meter in the car was showing between 0.90 and 0.99 the whole time (according to the passenger who was watching it). I was doing somewhere around 55kph, tires squealing pretty good.

Ah nvm. I forgot the difference in tire size between 1le and 2ss. Thanks for the input!

Just to tie off this thread:

I got new tires, Continental Extremecontact Sport, and the problem went away almost entirely. I guess the old tires, rear at least (hah, surprise surprise) were just too worn.
