The stock pads and caliper retaining clip I've ordered from Rockauto ($235 delivered)
Wow, that’s crazy. Sub $2k for that brake setup is just nuts. With SRF, I’ve never once wished for more braking capability on my SS 1LE, on OE or Hawk DTC 60 pads. FYI, at VIR in November, I shared my car with a good friend from Phoenix who flew in for the event. I ran instructor group, he ran intermediate. Double stinted for 3 days, 145 mph+ 2x per lap, ZERO fade.

These are on my list to order as well. I've found a great deal for fronts at $266. Let's hope I will not have to deal with Hawk's infamous rust, corrosion and fast rotor wear.

Sorry, you are right, I forgot that link is just for the rotors themselves.

Need to watch EBay, I got complete front and rear for $1750 shipped. The 1LE had 4k miles and the parts support it.

Yes. Installed everything ( long 6 hours). Everything seems to fit. A few bolts on the list were not necessary. I was surprised that the 2 caliper bolts(each side) are only 18mm ( and 5 mm longer) vs the stock 4 pistons caliper ( 21 or 22 mm...don’t remember).

Ok cool, so all the big part numbers turned out to be legit?

You're going to love them, by the way!

Yes. Everything looks right. I’ll report back after my first track day.
I think I’ll have to bleed my brake fluid again , it took forever to remove all the air bubbles after replacing the brake lines.

The SS 1LE brakes are very good, but they don't get enough cooling air so the front calipers roast, upwards of 450°F, which shortens the life of the seals dramatically and turns them classic "Brownbo". That said, the 1LE's don't come with the SS's larger brake deflectors, so I picked up a pair and will try them this spring. They should be an improvement.

Given the chance and unlimited funds, I'd go for the full ZL1 setup. Otherwise, the 370mm front setup is damn near wonderful.
Ry,

You have a part number for the SS brake deflectors?

PLEASE USE CASTROL SRF BRAKE FLUID!!!! It will help eliminate false sense of pad fade or overheating when in fact the OEM brake fluid is the only thing failing.

If you couldn't tell I'm a religious SRF guy.
