It is my understanding that the first two oil changes are included in the price of the car.

I don't want to mislead you as my current Chebby is a C7Z06, but our free oil changes specify Mobil 1. Some dealers weren't using it and when GM got that word they put out a new procedure that requires the Mobil 1 be used. Don't know if the Camaro is the same, but I would think it may be.

My dealer gave me the deluxe treatment, free oil change at 500 miles, 10,000 point inspection (I think because it took hours) and then wiped off the hood with oily rag.

The great thing about lame chevy dealers, is there's always another one nearby!

Don't like your current lame dealer?! No problem! Go find another one!

also went to check alignment because a friend with another 1le who i know for a fact doesnt drive the car hard (because hes terrified of it) and has completely bald tires front and rear at 5000 miles.

I got this read out from them and they said they fixed a few specs but as you can see above its the specs for the FE3 suspension camaro not our FE4. needless to say they argued and argued with me saying that the specs dont change and fe3 and fe4 suspensions get the same alignment.

anyone want to chime in? am I over reacting here and should just trust the "PROS"?

Why is the front camber more positive than the rear camber, or should I say, why does the rear have more negative camber than the front?

Toyota's "free" maintenance gets you a rotation at 5k, an oil change and rotation at 10k. Another rotation at 15k with a rotation and oil change at 20k. Followed by your last free service at 25k with, you guessed it, a tire rotation.

If you come in for your free 5k at lets say, 1500 miles, to get all the break in crap out of your engine, all you will get is a rotation unless you pay for an oil change.

The worst part is people procrastinate. Many come in for the first service at 7-8,000 miles. Tire rotation. Then go back at like 15k and end up getting a 15k service, unless someone catches it, another tire rotation. Before you know it the car has 20-25,000 miles before the first oil change.

Toyota's in the past ran for many hundreds of thousands of miles, partially due to the owners being religious about maintenance. The newer crop of Toyota's, and owners, are not the same.

Wonder how the reputation will hold up.

I typically get damage like dings or scratches when I visit the dealer. I do all my stuff myself if I can.

I have 8 oil changes Mobil 1 plus the two(2) that came with the car...The 8 they sold me for 299.00 up front. They told me I can come whenever and I did at 500 miles and again at 1500 and had the rear dif changed...They called me to remind me to come at 5000 miles for my next one yesterday. My dealer rocks. Come up from VA to NC they will treat you right..

Is there any way that I can get a link to a printable version of that?

Also I assume the SS 1LE's has the fe4 suspension and that is the specs I should follow?

These are generic specs. Look in your 1LE high performance supplement manual for details.

Nope, only the Z06 gets the mobile 1. I don't believe the 455HP vette gets mobile 1 either.

I got my first free oil change at 500miles no problem, then at a second dealer I got my second oil change at 2000miles. I mentioned to them that I came in to use my second free oil change as i was checking out. And she said "No, you still have one left"

Now I'm wondering what happens if I go back to the first dealership? I might be able to parlay 4 free oil changes out of this deal. LOL
