That's true. They don't need to do anything else other than slapping the A10 in it.

You mean, until they realize that (just like the ZL1) that it doesn't make much of a difference in actual track times on the camaro platform....or that (just maybe) the GT500 is optioned with a DCT instead?

Available trim levels included L, GL, GLX, LX, GT (1982-1993), GTS, Turbo GT (1983–84), GT-350 (1984), SVO (1984–86), Cobra (1979–81,1993), Cobra R (1993), and Ghia (1979–81). And the fact of the matter is this, it was still a V6 Mustang, or a GT with a performance upgrade....it wasn't a "special model". The GT350, Bullitt, etc...those are special models... Getting a slightly better suspension or slightly more powerful V6 still made it a bloody V6 Mustang!

A rare sort of car that brings buyers over from different brands like BMW, Porsche, etc. I think if GM offers a high revving DOHC, it will have the same effect. It will likely be enough for me to be a customer again too.

What you fail to realize is the M6 ZL1 has some torque management nannies that cause some bogging issues for launching....it's a very well documented item on this forum. With a tune, it becomes no issue, which means faster launch times....

I'm fully aware, of the advantage an auto has...but let's face it, the ZL1 1LE is not a drag racing machine. It's track monster, and as such would offer only an advantage to new/inexperienced drivers or those that are left leg challenged. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they shouldn't....only that (for it's intended purpose), the A10 doesn't offer a significant advantage over the M6 in the ZL1 1LE. |

And just for giggles, there are plenty of people who would prefer the 1LE in a A10 to auto-x or road course run. It's got a different suspension and some people would like to play with it. Again, the main advantages of adding the A10 are purely for straight line speed, namely drag racing... and that is an advantage the A10 would have... Quote:
If we use your logic (GT, GT PP1, GT PP2, Bullitt, GT350, GT350R) all the same as a GT. So you have the GT and the upcoming GT500. We have the SS and the ZL1. Look, I understand that some models have different features or slightly better performance, but a lot of these models were the same car with minor differences. I would call a GT PP a different model than the basic GT. However, I certainly wouldn't call the GT California edition a different GT. There's simply not enough of a difference to truly make them a different model.

A DCT would be sick. I love the 500, but good lord. The ADM's. smh.

The GT and GT350 offer completely different engines as does the GT500. The Bullitt offers different engine components giving it higher horsepower. If you’re going to take out all suspension packages, then you need to be able to differentiate between different engine options. Quote:

I mean shit, if we're going to compare your doo-dad to my doo-dad, well then yes Ford wins the biggest pile of crap every time... Quote:
The Camaro currently has a 4 cylinder turbo, a 3.6L V6, a 6.2L V8, and a 6.2L supercharged V8. And while I'll go ahead and agree that Ford has offered a lot more "trims" for the Mustang, they have routinely made you pay to match the standard features of the Camaro. When a 1LE-V6 can match your standard GT for performance, there's an issue.
