The Gen 5 Z/28 was shown at the New York Auto Show in 2013. I remember watching the live stream they showed the C7 convertible, the 2014 Camaro refresh, and then Mark Reuss was all Billy Mays with a "but wait there's more!" and then the Z drove out on stage.

Good point about Z/28. And actually, now that I've gone back and looked at it, Gen 6 intro happened off-circuit. It was at Belle Isle Park in Detroit. I should have remembered that, because there was a big deal about a journalist wrecking a car.

The Gen SIX wasn't what I'd call "on the main circuit"...possibly one of the first, or at least few of its kind. They held their own celebration and event on Belle Isle for that one.

I don’t think any 6th gen Camaros have been revealed at a show.

GM had a private event for the Unveiling of the 6th Gen. Which I attended drove 23 hours in my 1LE from Miami to Detroit. Still my favorite trip of all time

At least you can put adults in the back seat.

It was surreal. Such a great event!

The 6th gen SS 1LE was revealed a week before Chicago. The auto show was its first public appearance.

Makes a good argument for Chicago getting the refresh. Press days start Feb. 8th, so we'll know pretty soon.

If I remember correctly the 5th gen refresh was actually first revealed with the SS on a morning show with Kelly Rippa and Michael Strahan.... Not sure if we'll see something like that again, but there will probably be some sort of special reveal in March before NY auto show.

So german dealers are saying that EU camaro will pause this summer, which is normal when a new model/refresh launches. So this basically would confirm that the facelift will launch with MY2019
