This seems like a lot of button pushing going on...
Time for some of the drag strip guys to make a Youtube video "how too" for proper setup and launch techniques.
Ill be the first one to tell you, I have no clue on the "proper" way to stage my new Camaro, on stock run flats, at the track.

If you just want to burnout then put the car in tour mode ( seems TM is not an issues here ) this is my experience. While in tour mode press the TC button 1 time ( traction control off ) do your burn out! If you want to get real shi**y hold the TC button until both lights come on ( traction control/stability control )
off and let her rip.

" All you have to do is press the button once to turn off traction control and leave stability control on. Nothing else needs to be done besides that. This is competition mode."

This is not competition mode.. You have to be in sport or track mode and double press the TC button and it will say competition mode active. Torque management plays a part in this and will restrict the tires from spinning.

So even with the car in track mode and TC off TM kicks in and keeps the car from spinning.

On the stock tires Launch control is worthless. Using launch control the best way i have found is "slipping the clutch" not side stepping. I'm not a pro drag racer but go out had have fun. My best is 12.3 with a 1.8 60" on street tires bone stock.
Best thing to do is go out and practice, have fun. My advise is don't worry about the light, time don't start until you break the beam. Work on your 60" get the launch figured out and the rest will fall into place.
for someone to tell someone how to launch their car is very hard due to how the track prep and many other factors to take into consideration. practice practice and most of all have fun!

I'll try that too. When the weather warms up enough to drive it.
