It is when the GT has a 10 speed auto going against a manual. Also, where are you getting 3600. That Was a fully loaded 2ss with red line package. I could only guess what the crying would be if it was the other way around.

Considering the manual trans 5th gens were roughly 12.9/13.0...stock... tis not a bad run. Additionally, both sides of the fence know Edmunds isn't a serious publication for true performance... as both cars can/will go faster.

Still, you can't sit there with a straight face and tell me you aren't super disappointed that GT didn't smash the SS....because it SHOULD have... and I'm a Camaro owner..

All of you obviously are.

I can smell the butthurt it’s so thick

SS is 3685 1SS manual. This was a 3700+ 2SS. And the car is 455/455. You love to round up lol. From a 4 year old powertrain

Dice it slice it excusercise it any way you want. It’s all invalid. Same testers same location same day. A10 on 255s couldnt beat a manual SS. Both cars numbers were way down.

It blows my mind some are trying to cry foul when the Camaro was the one who got screwed.

I can only imagine if this were the other way around. The circle jerk would encompass the entire community

Nobody cares dude. The GT is a flop even with the A10.

I am looking forward to the tests with the PP1, and of course PP2.

The new tire upgrade on the PP1 should help a lot, and I want to see how the revisions to the MT82 change the feel, if at all. The PP1 can be had in auto now right? That and the Michelins may prove a potent combo, better than what we have seen so far I hope.

Nobody said that. We are on the M fanboys because they've been hyping this car up for the past year saying it was the next holy grail of all Mustangs. And what does it do? Fall on it's fkn face. And on top of that, they've had the nerve to reach out to the Zl1 owners and say.........e85tune and tire and they'll be running Zl1's down. It's the comedy that is coming out of the Mustang camp. That's it. Period. If Mustang owners will actually admit, that it's not a Zl1 killer and it's on par with the SS, we'd let it go. But, they won't. They continue to beat the 'excuse' drum.

I think they realize that they need a higher trim level to compete with our lower trim level. So to them the GT vs the base SS is not fair. The GT PP is the competitor to our base SS while the GT PP2 will have to be the competitor to the SS 1LE. But that might not be fair to them either seeing as how the SS 1LE was putting work on the GT350.

The problem with that is by adding PP1 or PP2, is that you're adding cost. I mean, by the time you compare the two cars, you're almost in ZL1 territory with the price.

And honestly, if we're going to go that route.... well....

I like both cars. I just wanted something different than a mustang. New 18 Camaro SS. I still have my 03 Cobra too

The new Mustang GT sounds pretty awesome. Though.

Those lower trim level Camaros are a tremendous value for how capable they are.

$37,995 for 1SS M6
$39,490 for 1SS A8
$44,950 For SS 1LE

That includes destination and all come standard with Brembo brakes, brake cooling ducts, three radiators, oil, transmission and differential cooler. Plus warranty that allows fun racing and high performance driving experience track days. Chevy claims you can run a full tank empty without overheating.

Not to mention, you can now get the 2LT/2SS models with the 1LE, which you couldn't with the 5th Gen..and even the V6 1LE is quite nasty...

The V6 1LE lapped VIR faster than any Mustang not named the GT350R.....which is damned impressive...

Absolutely. The V6 1LE is a great option for an affordable track car that you can daily drive. $32,895

Plus with the SS you get Brems at all 4 corners. I'm not sure about the 18 GT but with the 15-17s they put Brems on the front only...SMH! Cheap asses.
