Yea and EVERYONE who has gone to the track with the 18 GT so far has played with tire pressure. So again, how did he manage to do an 11.8 bone stock when others in pretty damn great DA could get only a low 12 on DRs? I mean, I'm not impressed at all regardless of what he did. This will be far from the norm. But I still think it's suspect.

Has anyone on M6G posted a time yet? Anyone? I recall individual results being most important to them.

Remember when the SS was coming out?

they were arguing that the SS would only hit 12.3 best case scenario because GM was the debil and was exaggerating.

then the weight conspiracy

then the torque multiplication proving the GT would still be faster

the way the whole thing unraveled and the amount of crow that community had to eat over the Camaro eclipses this place by 10 fold

they are on here out for revenge because GM made them look stupid as F

and btw not all of them...plenty of those guys are smart as well

Oh yeah, I remember. Then when it was clear what the SS was capable of it became "what did you run". Hence my question.

That site became unreadable and the GT such a joke I didn't even bother looking for years. Now they so badly want the conflict but...big deal. Lol. It's about time

he states right in the comments that all he did was adjust tire pressure and shallow stage. the above is totally fabricated

The reason I will never be impressed with any of these hero runs. 3 years late to the party and we're all supposed to be impressed? LOL!! And it still can't handle even if it does beat the SS in a straight line...which it won't.

Fords lower gear ratios in the Mustang make perfect sense and i highly doubt you'll call those ratios insane when the Camaro gets them next year.

Stock Coyote airflow
Known stock Coyote intake port head flow numbers are 289.4-cfm intake and 201.4-cfm exhaust at .500 inch,

Lt1 airflow
Lift---Intake (cfm)---Exhaust (cfm)
0.100
0.200 151 111
0.300 208 152
0.400 256 174
0.500 294 183
0.600 316 189

so it appears the Mustang might see better port velocity and of course higher rpm capability due to overhead cams where the Camaro has more airflow and bigger CI.
The lt1 revs less due to cam and intake. Modded generally an Ls can run as much rpm as a modular\coyote.

Ford fanboys are hilarious. I was reading a thread on M6G and they think 11.8 will be the norm for the 18 GT.

One thing to consider is that this is the first car as far as I know being equipped with magneride out of the ones where videos has been posted.

That could be the difference and with the driver mod.

No worse than the C6 guys thinking 11.8 is the norm for a Camaro.

To be honest how do we know this legendary 11.8 pass in a Camaro was stock? It's just word of mouth people are taking as gossip.

Or that 11.7x pass?

Anyone on the internet can say their car is stock and post a timeslip.

By using Camaro6 logic, if I have never seen it in person it hasn't happened. I have never seen a 6th Gen Camaro run better than a 12.3 stock, does that mean it can't be any faster than that? No. I have seen stock GT's run 12.3-12.4, but that's impossible according to this forum. Is it the norm? Nope.

I don't understand why people are so caught up in the numbers. Most people that drag race don't stay stock for long anyway.
