Here are a couple of observations related to disconnecting the battery terminal;
At the Texas Mile my A10 was shifting from 3rd-4th gear badly. It would hit the rev limiter in 3rd, hesitate for a second, then go to 4th. The rest of the shifts were ok. I was consistently in the 169-mph range vs other stock ZL1’s in the 173 range.

I met a professional tuner there (on the last day) who suggested I disconnect the battery terminal for 10 minutes to erase all the transmissions “learned” behavior. I did that, but while putting the terminal back on I didn’t make an immediate good connection and it sparked a few times. Check engine light stayed on for the next hour or so. Then I disconnected the battery again and this time when connecting it I made an immediate good connection until I could get the hold down bolt tightened.

On my next run, the transmission shifted perfectly and I ran my best time of 173.9 mph.

All that said has drawn me to a couple of conclusions. When I disconnect the battery in the future, I’ll reconnect it quickly and not let the cable spark as I put it down over the post. Also, I’ll always probably disconnect the battery in the future prior to a run to erase any learned/bad behavior.

Thought I’d share this experience, hope it’s helpful in some way to you guys.

It's strange you say that.

After i put the CAI back on and reconnected the battery cable...and i had it off for about 10 mins as i was fixing some things with the CAI...i went for a drive. The car felt like it was shifting more aggressively. When i put it in track and really got on it for awhile I was really impressed with the performance shifting...it seemed to hold the gears longer and at a higher rpm. I wasnt sure if it was a figment of my imagination or what. Perhaps it is as you said...the learned trans has reset. Great info for all! Thank you

For what ever it's worth. When we installed Roto-Fab we unplugged the MAF. When we started car up it threw a code relating to the MAF. Cleared the code and all was well. If you disconnect the battery I don't think this will happen. Just keeps you from having to clear codes I think

Per the Rotofab install video, I left my MAF plugged in when i removed it. No issues.
