I really think this will be my last after this with the Windshield Condensation and the headliner sag. I seen most of these issues are known on these cars. I just think there is no quality control.

Exactly. I've had dozens of issues with many still remaining. Been to 3 dealerships about my TPMS not working and for 6 months now they can't fix it and don't even want to anymore. Might get a vette one day or I'm gonna switch makes all together. I thought ford and Nissan were bad, Chevy is ****en shit.

just my .02....The QC overall seems to have been much better when they were made across the border in Canada, wasn't perfect there either, but it was better, imho.

I believe it. US is comparable to china now. Didn't hear half these issues with older gens. It's just disgusting. All about the money.

It's called warranty for a reason. Any issues that are bound to happen and WILL happen. It's easy to nitpick things from ANY car... You didn't spend 3 mill on a Pagani. Issues and mistakes are bound to happen but then again, warranty. No one likes to have issues but you have to know it is bound to happen. Such is a part of life.

The warranty is BS if you put a lot of miles on its almost irrelevant. Especially when you go to 3 dealerships and they can't even fix your issues!!!! Where the F is Chevy backing their product??!!!!

I've had every issue everyone's had in this forum (I was a second batch owner). My biggest issue lately that's been making me want to get rid of the car is the TPMS not reading!! I've brought it in to 3 different dealerships and they don't know what's going on they try to fix it and it never solves it, they've replaced one sensor now and I'll be going back Wednesday to SEE 4 new sensors they'll be installing. If that doesn't do it I'm gonna lose my mind. This is going on 6 months I think and dozens of visits and time and money etc!! Pay a ton for a car and it's not even working right. My 2015 mustang had a quarter of the issues if that that this Camaro has. Owned both the same amount of time now. I've posted dozens of issues throughout the years on here. Some of which were solved, many still unsolved with no fix in sight going on 1.5 years.

There are so many ways of being able to handle the situation. Being calm and firm is the #1 way of handling things. Yes, situation is frustrating and can make anyone angry but that doesn't get anyone anywhere. You can talk with the SA, their manager, dealerships owner, Chevrolet Customer Service (whom are even on this forum), district Chevy HQ etc... I am very interesting in why they only replaced 1 TPMS sensor and not all 4. That would mean that you had an issue with ONE only and it sounds like they did right and replaced that unit. Hopefully all 4 new sensors will fix that issue. Out of all the issues you have had, were they fixed? If they were, it sounds to me that Chevrolet is standing behind their product and actually fixing them. GM is actually VERY interested in issues, it helps with control and getting ahead of it. You mention that you have unsolved issues which I find highly unlikely as unsolved issues can lead up to legal hassle, buy backs etc which no one wants to deal with thus they will never leave an unsolved issue. My Malibu had a very weird issue with it that only happened with LT models but I had an eco so to figure out what happened, they were extremely interested in it and thanks to my vehicle having that issue, they issued a service bulletin for it, ended up getting the block fully built again, didn't see the car for almost a month but at the end warranty took care of it. Best part of the Malibu deal was that the dealership tried to accuse me of the issue, how I made the car not have any engine oil. So, I completely am with you when it comes to dealership just being bad (needless to say, I won't even drive 5 miles within that dealership...). Since the dealership told GM that it was my fault, initial warranty claim for the car was declined. So I contacted Chevrolet Customer service and they referred me to my district's Chevrolet told the dealership to dig more into it (which the dealership didn't even bother looking if there was a leak and immediately blamed me for not having engine oil in the car) after they did, they found piston seals not sealing everything in thus causing the pistons and valves and everything in there get damaged (metal on metal = bad) which meant it's the car's fault and not mine so GM approved the warranty work and saved me almost 5 grand for a car that's worth 10k lol (malibu is my beater, got it with a CPO so camaro doesn't get driven daily). GM definitely does not enjoy a customer constantly coming in to a dealership because of an issue or more issues not being fixed. Who would want to spend more money on their product... lol. If you are that unhappy with the car, no one is forcing you to keep it. Just get rid of it. |

Can't really get rid of something with so much money put in to it. I agree with you and see where you're coming from, just aggravating always taking off work for your car, people mock it, losing money, 30 miles to the dealership, just to leave and have the same issue. One unsolved issue is the car sat for a couple days then struggled to start up with no power steering. Explain that one, cuz no one in this forum has had the same issue, and the dealer didn't see anything. There's paint issues on the side rockers, they apparently chip real easy (horrible design) and I never drive on gravel, still a weird flap/tap noise coming from the back they have no idea what it is, door plastic rattles horribly on the metal, possible side mirror wind noise issue (some have had that fixed here), and then this TPMS issue to top it off. Now they have fixed a good couple things which I'm thankful for, but then others they've fixed (rear rattle) and when they put the liner back it wasn't even snapped in it literally looked completely broken I had to drive back 30 miles to show them how they left it and wait 20 minutes before they fixed it. I can go on and on over the past 1.5 years, it's all in the threads. I love the car, love Camaro, wouldn't ever get another mustang, but damn Chevy shouldn't they take priority on newer more expensive cars? Should the second time in they have said head honchos come down and investigate? Feel like I'm getting the shit end of the stick. And yes they replaced the one at the time that was the only one I had issues with and then the issue popped up on the other 3 which is weird. And as far as the warranty goes (and seeing how slow they are to issue recalls and bulletins) I'm honestly terrified I'm approaching that warranty conclusion and they'll stop covering anything, and of course they're trying to sell me on their HORRIBLE 3 year warranty, when I've had 10 year warranties for the same price, same coverage. Nothing seems right. Gonna be going on vacation and scared to drive with the TPMS not reading and possible power steering failure. If anything happens, someone's getting sued for the costs (I.e new tire). They're covering your cat when u it an x-pipe?? Well that's prob cuz u got the first Camaro hah ur special unlike the rest of us. They got u bro. I'm just venting a little too much on here it's been balled up for too long, we'll see what comes of Wednesday. If he doesn't show me the 4 TPMS we're gonna have a problem because he's been BSing me around for weeks about even getting them. And I'm terrified to go over them again because I've done that to a different dealership and they took it out on me when I went to corporate. And I actually think they do want customers constantly coming back because it keeps everyone busy (job security) and half the time prob get to sell new stuff. Haven't heard from u in a while bro glad to see u doin alright.

I think alot of it is that so many issues are so prevalent amongst the community it should just be a recall... Electronic Steering is nothing to mess around with.. it should be a recall notice.
