Clinking noise has surfaced.

Took the car in this morning. Started hearing a clicking noise from the front passenger side. Techs couldn't diagnose the issue so they gave me a rental. Told me to check back at the end of the day. Hope to have the car fixed by Monday.

Apparently there was an issue with the steering gear and the part had to be order from the factory in lansing. Expect to have an update on the vehicle Wednesday.

Well that's good they found the issue, hopefully that resolves it.

Could you describe the clicking noise better? Mine seems to be coming from the back passenger side, but maybe I'm just hearing it wrong. Is it intermittent or consistent? Does it vary by speed? I've seen some posts where others experienced it but it was related to either something stuck in the tire or the NPP valves. I normally don't hear these things either with my music playing.

It happened when ever i went over a bump or when i turned the steering wheel. They actually diagnose the problem as a steering issue with the rack and pinion. I had a slight feeling this would be a problem because the vehicle could not drive without slightly going left or right. once they fix the issue and do an alignment i should be fine. my only worry is how the new the car is and the lack of experience with this specific model.

Thank you for clarifying all that! I should be good then, but have noticed the ride is a little more bumpy/shakey than it was when I first drove it, but apparently it's nothing they were finding..a rebalance did help though. Besides that only other issues I have is the occasional click and the stutter at low RPM in between gear, but guess those seem to be normal as well. Hope you get it back soon and it's working how it should! Check to make sure they did a software update as well to save yourself a trip going back.

Thanks for the heads up on the software update. I will let them know that for sure.

Lately I have really been noticing my car slightly shuttering or shaking when the AFM kicks in on the highway. Everytime i push on the gas and the AFM turns off, the car stops shaking. I'm planning on taking it in soon and hopefully they can figure it out. Is this the same thing you've been experiencing NY Andrew?

Mine seems to have gotten a little better, maybe it needs more break-in (I'm over 3200 miles), but I still notice it nonetheless. Here's my post about it:

Definitely keep us updated if you bring it in!

I received my camaro back from the dealership on Monday. It seems to be running smooth as of right now. For my troubles GM has offered to extend my bumper to bumper warranty to 4 years or 60,000 miles.

I'm having this same issue I think.

Whenever going over bumps , I hear this metal clinging noise.

Is that what you were getting?
