Battery died while backed up on ramps
Was working underneath the back of the car today and it died twice while it was backed up on the ramps. Had to jump start it both times. It was weird how some things inside the vehicle still had power, but the horn was so faint and dead as well as car wouldn't start and couldn't unlock the doors.. Wasn't sure if rain had something to do with it or it's not made to be backed up on ramps. Underneath I was hearing a weird buzzing noise.. Was almost thinking it's maybe an anti-theft feature or towing feature maybe if the vehicle is picked up from the back to kill the battery?
Not sure what was going on, curious if anyone else has ever had this issue before? Seems to be holding the charge the last time I checked, I'll check again soon after it's been sitting for hours.

Did you have your FOB in your pocket while working on it? Were you working on it for a while? I know it uses power when the FOB is in range but it still sounds excessive to me..
But Maybe it's just the battery, easy fix.

Kept it either in my pocket or 10 feet away on the table. It seemed to die after maybe an hour of work, but then after being jump started it died again after maybe 20 minutes. Yea, there's no way it coulda used that much power, but that is interesting I didn't know that about the FOB using power.
Called GM and they weren't sure, best answer they could give was something about "gravity flooding" which they didn't even understand or could explain, so guess it's not a safety feature or anything, just said to let the dealership know next time it happens. Not gonna have them mess with it to reproduce the issue, probably don't even have ramps to backup on. Guess I'll never know why it's happening hah.

may be your battery is just running down due to drain from all the electrical components going on and off. I am sure you checked your battery for over 12 volts requirement.

It's weird though how nothing is different from when it was on the ramps and when it just sits level on the ground though.
