Best way to get a back into the seat "launch" to impress guest in my car?
I have a 2017 2SS with A8. I was wondering the best way to show family or friends the speed of the car, and I feel like being thrown back into the seat is a FUN and great example. What is the best way to achieve this throw back effect, be it either sport mode with paddle shifters, at which gear and when to shift, etc. Is it safe? You catch my drift. Suggestions?

The safe way? slap her in sport mode, get her down to 10mph and floor it.
The fun way? Do what CreativeDawn said, just don't crash the car hahaha.

That reminds me, I floored her once on a wet slick road thinking I could control it, and It slipped sideways HARD. I thought I was screwed and within a flash of a second I was straight again. I feel like the car did it itself. Like it saved me or something. It happened so fast but I really feel like it corrected itself faster than my brain could adjust the steering. I'm not sure if i'm making this up in my head or not, but it happened so fast.

If you think this car goes sideways fast, try driving a c7! Thats a twitchy beast.
In the a10, cant you hold the "-" paddle to switch to the lowest avail gear? Then hold that and step on the gas.. turn traction off, but leave the rest on. That should do it ! Hehe!

Find a nice open interstate and slow down to about 40... in Sport or Track mode.

If just flooring this beast doesn't impress them I don't know what would. I went to pass someone and floored it and my wife was not happy with the thrust.

Marriage counseling might work if she isn't happy with the thrust...

I do understand why the OP is asking this question. I have posted it here before, but my personal experience with riders in my Camaros is that this car feels tame compared to my 12 1SS M6 and 15 1SS M6. My wife actually teared up and asked me to never go WOT again with our 15 because it felt so fast and out of control. It ran 13.2 at 108 on the same track that the 16 does 11.8 at 118. I can go WOT with the 16 at any time and she doesn't even bat an eye.
So kudos to GM for creating a fast smooth car with a wide powerband. But it won't "impress" a passenger compared to a high revving peaky HP type car with a stick shift even though it might be a full second or two faster in the 1/4.
