The great thing about the Camaro lineup is that GM is willing to create performance variants that will sell to as few as 500 individuals (Z28). Heck, they sold less than 2500 total ZL1s and a similar number of 1LEs. Most auto manufacturers would look at those numbers and pull the plug, especially given the big negative these vehicles contribute to CAFE limits, carbon nonsense etc. So, I for one, want to give Chevrolet a big standing for continuing to build vehicles for the very small niche of extreme performance buyers.
Thank you, GM. I hope this doesn't change with Gen6.

Most of us was just poking fun. Don't take it to heart. Doesn't matter what you drive this is a good place to start for info. Stick around and have a look around

Well...you don't get an air conditioner! Really, except for the interior, most of the differences are under the car and the hood so you don't see it. Brakes, suspension, and engine. |

For 30K what exactly is the difference? And why wouldn't you just by a corvette for the same price?

May I suggest the 1LE option as a nice compromise? By no means a Z/28, but much more than a standard SS as far as handling. Just a thought......

Bought my RS/SS instead of a new Corvette, since I already have a Corvette, don't need two of them. Well, maybe................
