2018 ZL1 - Tune?

I have owned my ZL1 for a couple of years now and enjoying the heck out of it. One item I haven't messed with is there is a DSX flex fuel sensor, rotofab, and cat back exhaust. Have NOT messed with any e85 blending but track day use would make that a nice option to keep power when the temps rise.

Any thoughts/ideas on what you would do to further investigate the history of the car? Or just ignore it until ready to bite the bullet and get a tune?

Not looking for more power, just curious who tuned it (assuming it is tuned due to DSX flex fuel sensor) and if its safe enough to blend a bit of ethanol into during hot track days?

It's never a good idea to mess with guessing on these cars. Get HPT, get the dongle and do a read on the car and see what has been done to it tune wise and make sure it is safe to blend. This will get you established in datalogging and making sure you are safe to add in ethanol or not.

Guess I am wondering if HPT will tell me what I need to know? Without knowing who tuned it and how, what would I be looking for to trust they did it right? Just datalogging afrs to make sure it doesnt hit a danger zone? Or would I send the logs to someone?

Dumb question I know....

Ethanol content currently in the car and if it is hitting target AFR's. You'll have to check fuel pressure on the high and low side and also track injector pulse width. Anything 6.5 ms or high on injector pulse width and fuel pressure that drops under 50 psi on the low side/ high side that drops below 2000 psi while you are logging under wide open conditions means you are out of fuel ie too much ethanol content for the fuel system to handle.

This will also make your air fuel ratio or lambda go entirely out of whack too. It is all connected.
