Absolutely need some help!
Back in Oct 2025 I purchased a 2018 ZL1 as a rebuilt salvage title that had been stolen and repaired. I bought it sight unseen over the internet as I did my previous 2017 ZL1 as well as 5-6 other cars over the years.
This is the first one that is biting he HARD! The thieves removed the 2 radio modules and antenna wiring so it couldn’t b tracked by onstar. I have a friend who formerly worked at a Chevy dealer and got me part #’s for the modules and cable and installed them for 1/2 price and it was still almost $2700 and he told me he’d gone as far as he could and it now needed to go to the local Chevy dealer for programming. 2 weeks later the tech at the Chevy dealer says we have the wrong cables and gave me 3 new part #’s for them which they can’t even get and tells me 17 hours labor to put it together. I’m sitting at over $3k and no closer to the radio working and I’m a little bit po’d. At this point I’m hoping my friend will finish it without another jab, but wondering if it’s even possible to use an aftermarket for the radio and still have the other services work? Currently the back up camera works as well as blue tooth, just no radio. Ideas? |

So when you say Radio do you mean AM/FM? do you have Carplay? does the Infotainment System work at all? I dont know anyone really uses the onstar or AM/FM. to me it isnt worth the money for AM/FM
I use Carplay 100% of the time with spotify for my music. or sirus radio
