TI Shims or no TI shims.
I am going from the OEM brake pads up to the dtc-60s and was wondering about opinions on ti shims. Ive heard both sides of the argument. Some people want to keep the heat out of the caliper while some do not want to keep all the heat in the pad. I am running the brake deflector kit as well.
Was looking for some opinions strictly on the shims side of things |

I think you're going to get a lot of biased opinions here. I'll start.
I run DTC70 or 60's with Castrol SRF and BW brake ducts. I also use Ti shims. I haven't had any brake fade and my calipers are still red after 5 years of tracking. I vote for shims. |

Since the 60s can handle heat then the shims will be tolerated. OE pads=no shims. Note that the shims only slow the heat transfer to the pistons/seals/calipers/fluid.

Got it. Thanks for the feedback. Just ordered some Girodisc shims.
