![]() Please help, my Camaro Cluster will not function as normal. I’ve switched to my spare key fob, disconnected the battery for a day, charged the battery for a day (thebattery is 4 months old), and I’m at a loss of options other than buying a new cluster and hoping that fixes the issue. The problem comes and goes; now it's been stuck like this for 5 days, but on day 2 it went back to normal for a day or so. Very strange, not sure what to do or try. The car starts and drives normally, but I’ve been going back and forth to work all week, and I can't tell how much gas I have, which is very annoying. Please help. ![]() Code from ODBII B3980 - No Environment Identifier Received From Instrument Cluster |

Don't throw parts at it yet. Here's some info I found for that code:
https://www.autocodes.com/b3980_chevrolet.html Pull the cluster out and inspect the wire harness. Perhaps simply unplugging and reconnecting the cluster will correct a weak connection. -Ray |

Praying I fixed it. I learned the BCM is under my steering wheel and I got under there and pushed all the connectors in tight. It came back and is working for now.
Praying that’s all it was. |
