So much power on so little boost, a beautifully elegant and very strong build
I see Ted and the crew have managed to up their game even further... made me think about going back for a 2650 and some exhaust mods Not that I need more power, but I love all the upgrades they developed, they do compound really well.

Very nice... Part of me wants to give my car to one of these VERY reputable shops and say "Here's $20,000... Make this bitch sing!!!"... But the other side of the coin, when I get on it now, after 2-3 seconds I'm already needing to back off, so maybe, there is no point to more power... Since I don't track and likely never will....

Most impressive to me is how linear the torque curve is. The car is still going to be drivable on the limit! |

Once you get to 650-700hp, you really need to know what you’re doing to get the power down. Before this build, my car made 691whp and I was full throttle often on both street and track with little to no spinning. I ran Yokohama Advan Apex V601 (a 280TW TIRE!!!) on the street and Slicks on the track. The truth is, most people don’t even run the proper pressures or pay attention to tire temps before spirited driving. I’m pretty confident that I’ll have no problem putting down 800hp. Otherwise, I feel like I can agree with you when it comes to 90% of hamsters behind the wheel. |

![]() I can still enjoy my 730-ish rwhp though, just not from a dig, the car has to be rolling for these 315/30/20 PS4S tires to hook. 1st gear is an absolute no-go, even 2nd probably wouldn't work (been a long time since I last tried, unsuccessfully). That said, OP's new build is so elegant and efficient, it's hard not to be excited about.

Beautiful build. One question. What's the limit without the voltage booster on the fuel pump with same set up 800 hp?

"So we did, we went all out as far as max effort but keep some street drivable but bad AZZ at the track too! I'm glad I pulled the trigger and basically wrote a blank check to Katech for the build. I'm glad Mike gave me a public "push" here on the forum to go max effort! Many members here, including Ted Jannetty had all told me all along. Go with a Maggie, you will thank me later! I wish I would have done this level of build when I first started doing my mods. But you don't know till you know I guess! It just took 2 1/2 years and a few re-do's to get me where I am now. Regardless of how quick, how many times and what levels of builds we do. It's always a thrill after each is complete and our car feels bad and better again that we enjoy every step of the journey!

I actually grew into the car. First year was Ted's 125 package. Then the next year I played with a lot of chassis stuff. Third year was the Magnuson. ...now heading into year 4 with the complete build, and my laptimes showed gradual improvement over the years as well. In retrospect, you might feel that you should have thrown the kitchen sink at your car sooner. Honestly, slow and steady has its benefits too. Too much power up front could be overwhelming.... and truth be told, I rolled my first ZL1-1LE while taking a road log for Ted. hahaha |
