Smile Stock 18' SS - Brake Pad/Rotor Longevity?

My 2018 Camaro SS only has about 32k miles on it however I am noticing a slight chirp on stops and an occasional shudder on hard braking. I never track the vehicle and just drive around town and some "spirited" highway driving but nothing out of the ordinary.

I had a recently oil change and inspection at a chevy dealer and they didn't say anything about the brakes but I am wondering if I am due to replace the pads? The stock brembos should last about 60-70k miles as long as I swap the pads on time?

Also for the replacement am I better off price wise at a non-dealer shop? My local chevy dealer seems super shady and always tries to upsell me on maint, etc.

Not on my Camaro but on my Hornet which has Brembos I noticed that you have to re-bed the brakes from time to time when just doing casual braking. It’s almost like the Brembos thrive on some periodic hard braking. Maybe find somewhere to do a few aggressive stops to see if that helps.

I see that on my Camaro, too, although to a lesser degree. If I don't drive it hard enough for a while, the deposit layer thins out and eventually I start getting a slight whine when coming to a stop. A short re-bedding "session" fixes it for a long time, though, so it isn't a major deal.

However, it never gets to a point where the brakes would shudder or vibrate even slightly. These Brembos always stop like one would expect, ie as if a giant grabbed the front axle and pulled the whole car backwards straight up, no drama.
