Leaking radiator

hello everyone, i have a 2016 Camaro ss 6 speed. The radiator is leaking on the plastic end tank and I am looking to replace it. I noticed it has i believe a trans line in the side of it and I am not used to seeing that on a manual car. I was thinking of going aftermarket aluminum though I am not sure on what brand to go with. I have replaced a few radiators in my day and wondering if there is anything special i might have to do cause it looks pretty straight forward. Any advice and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

You're probably one of the first to tackle that. Most of these guys will ship repairs to the dealer or sell the car. I would guess there are less than 20 active members that are willing to fix their own problems.
I would appreciate a write-up as you do yours. Any things you run into that impede your progress to keep me from having to deal with it as my car ages

I also fix everything on my own if possible, only farm out tune and suspension alignments and tire install. save boat loads of money and piece of mind that repairs are done rite and no bogus charges on things that are not needed.

Mishimtoto has 10% of when you sign up for their emails and are a lifetime warranty. Had the same thing happen to my 5th gen and replaced it with a Mishimtoto.

Were also coming up on black Friday/cyber monday.

I don't think there are many aluminum radiator options for the 6th gen, unfortunately. I only know of PWR and Cold-Case (?).

Is this what you are referring to? This looks right. Damn these things are huge!

Hey buddy, I just removed mine in order to test a new all-aluminum larger unit for CSF, but we had some corrections to make in the design is I put the old one back in. I can tell you it is 100% doable, but 100% a PITA without dropping the entire engine and cradle. Would make a ton of sense if also doing an "engine in" cam swap!

Happy to help walk you through it over the phone of that helps.
For me, I would pay the dealer to do it, if I was not also doing a bunch of upgrades at the same time...

Does it just not line up properly? Did you have to modify the radiator is some way? Seems like there's enough room to work in

They had to make a change to the drain location. This was the prototype of a new product... we are testing the final version now on another car.... so this should be out soon!

Yes, but I don't have any experience with it, I just saw it online.

Decided to just go with oem. Will order from rock auto and try to document the replacement to help others.
