Stutter when driving

So I threw on the zr1 throttle body and the new jlt intake on my 19 zl1. Ever since I installed this, the car doesnt seem to run as smooth. It's kind of stuttery when on and off a little throttle. Full throttle it feels fine, but barely giving it throttle or cruising, it doesnt feel as smooth. Is this due to the zr1 throttle body? Would it be it be fixed with the oem throttle body untill it gets tuned?

The throttle body is larger than OEM and so it may require some VE and virtual torque table tuning, as well as some TB throttle area limit (and more) adjustments.

Short answer is put it back to stock until you can get proper tuning done to it if you intend to drive it at all.

You can't use a larger throttle body without a tune. The best you can do stock is the Soler Performance 87mm (Eff 91mm) throttle body. Otherwise, you will have to tune your ECM.

I have a Mamo Throttle body V2 for sale, that doesn't require a tune. Has less than 2k miles on it since I went to a 103mm throttle body. Let me know if you're interested, it's just sitting in my garage.

Would need to see a data log to give an accurate answer. In short, larger throttle bodies can cause very low idle/no throttle timing, but I have also seen plenty of cases where a CAI was installed incorrectly (loose clamps/fittings) allowing unmetered air past the maf sensor. I just recently dealt with both instances tuning a bolt-on M6 SS.

Ahh ok gotcha, I understand. For some reason I thought it would work fine, doh. I'll throw the oem one back on for now and continue to add to my pile of mods then. I'll double check my intake and fittings as well, good call. The roughness and jerkyness of it, is driving me insane lol. Thanks as always guys!

Check the CAI before you swap throttle bodies back. One thing at a time for process of elimination. Especially check the fitting that plumbs into the elbow of the intake for the breather line. If you can get access to a scan tool of some sort, look at your long-term fuel trims to see if they are extremely positive at idle. Then look at ignition timing to see where its idle advance is at. Somewhere in the positive range is good, negative advance not good. A good little scanner setup( if you have an Android) is the Torque App with a 20.00 obd2 bluetooth dongle from Amazon.
