Aftermarket Valve cover oil hole AN fitting! ?? How to remove

The story is that I had some work done by RPM including the installation of a catch can.

A month ago I tried to cover my bases by finding out exactly how this fitting comes off and they said , once you take off the top AN fitting with a 1" socket, the star looking fitting comes off just like an oil cap. Well, that was BS. The damn fitting is tight AF. I tried channel locks with tape, hoses to avoid scoring it and that was a fail.
I tried to get a socket that could possibly fit, but none fit this, either too big or too small.

Does any body know what the F this stupid fitting is? I couldn't even complete my oil change. After 5 quarts of oil going thru the dipstick that took 40 min with viscous 15w50 oil, I stopped the madness and quit. A simple oil change that took 3 hours between going to pickup sockets and trying to fill it thru a pinhole.
So, again does anyone know what type of tool gets this effing thing off?

Looks like an Earl's PCV baffled oil filler.

It should just unscrew like an oil filler cap, 120 degree turn.

The stock extension does have a locking tab but I don't think the PCV adapter has that.

I saw your car on the YT channel. It looked good!

Thats what they said so this is what it must be. But damn it, it is welded to the valve cover. How is that possible. Just won't come off.

Thanks for the compliment on the car. They did really do a good job on the vehicle. It's just this is like a wtf is this thing not coming off.

Actually, I did see in your signature that you have a Magnuson 2650?
Do you have any aftermarket valve covers? Do you have to get a certain pair of valve covers that isn't so tall to clear rhe Magnuson charger?

The TooHighPSI valve covers were designed to clear the Maggie 2650 and have the proper PCV baffling unlike most aftermarket valve covers. Here are mine before install since they’re pretty buried once they’re on the car.

I just modified the stock covers per the magnuson instructions. For the current build phase, I'm keeping the stock covers again and shaving everything off of them. I'd love to have the THPSI or DSX covers, but I can't see $1k for valve covers. I'm getting a smoothboost instead.

Smoothboost is a much better use of the $1K. I only bought the THP ones because my brother kept calling me a “peasant”.

Wow, those covers are not beautiful but GORGEOUS!
Thanks for showing them.

I may look into them. Although, they're pricey. As someone else mentioned, I can't justify it, but sometimes I click the pay button with my eyes closed.

I did want valve covers installed but not yet, but now, with this whole frozen Earl baffled cap, it's got me thinking. Anyway, so question, I notice, the Oil cap hole has threads whereas stock oil cap is a twist type. Are they able to make the covers with the twist type of oil cap? My catch can, the way they plumbed it, it was with an Ear's baffled cap as someone mentioned so it's convenient so I don't have to replumb hoses.

Ok, so you can shave off material off the stock covers, good to know as an option.

Thanks! You can custom order the color combo. Since my Mast Black Label heads are raw CNC aluminum I wanted a layer of black to break up the raw valve cover so THP lets you pick lower half color and upper half color to your new valve covers. So you can mix and match to get the combo you think will look best.

They have a screw in cap available for those valve covers but I used a different fitting so that my Mighty Mouse Wild catch can could get plumbed to that spot.

I see, the 2 color combo is just hot.

a) So, how do you or will you pour oil into the engine when doing oil changes?
What is your process with the catch can?

b) Are those covers baffled? Never mind, this, you said they have the proper baffling.

Yeah so when it’s time for an oil change I’ll just undo the -12 AN hose that the MM Wild uses, then unscrew the -16 ORB male to -12 AN male adapter from the valve cover that I bought from Racetronix (since I wanted to use that instead of a typical oil fill cap that THP provides).

Thanks for the info. I'M asking to see if that is a better option for me. Currently, as my original post states the darn Earl baffled cap is stuck and I can't spin it off. Channel locks and even my air hammer didn't get off and one edge is ruined now ,so at this point Im looking to just break it ofr. Not sure, how or why this happened unless the seal swelled up. I tried pouring oil through the dipstick with the smallest kiddy funnel I got and 1 quart took 20 min, like wtf! So, 9 more quarts isn't happening!
