Mamo Motorsports **NEW** V3 Ported Throttle Bodys

Guys,

Haven't posted on here in a long time....been busy with so many different projects related to my business (I handle just about all of the GM platforms including old school muscle as well).

Anyway.....been working on this new TB for quite some time. The main difference between this and my v2 unit is a little more airflow (about 20 CFM) and the fact this is fully CNC ported. We invested a ton of time come up with a really effective good looking part with what could pass as an OEM machined finish in most cases. Besides the substantial gains in peak flow (over 200 CFM!!) there are nice gains across the entire curve as well (basically gains in part throttle operation).

Bottom line....if your still running an OEM LT1 or LT4 TB on your car you owe it to yourself to try this upgrade. It will transform the car. The factory LT throttle bodies are the worst GM design TB's ever installed on our favorite GM rides.....I cant believe they also installed them on the C8 platform as well including the new C8Z06. (I guess from the standpoint of potential sales I should be happy but shame on GM for doing so)

I posted some pics of the product below....it offers a substantial 23% increase in flow over stock and a similar gain in airspeed as well (that's the winning formula right there).

What are the bullet point gains....what can you expect from this upgrade!?

In no particular order I would list the following

Eliminate the dreaded off idle and low speed dead spot inherent in the flawed design of the OEM TB (huge perk there)
MUCH more throttle response from idle to WOT
Improved tip in throttle (when you roll into the throttle without downshifting)
Smoother more intuitive feel to the throttle....you will have to drive it to understand
Makes the car feel 300 lbs lighter....snappy and much more lively driving experience
Significant gains in peak power....excellent value in HP per dollar. LT1/LT2 cars see 8 - 10 RWHP......LT4 cars (boosted) see about 15 RWHP

Your biggest complaint will be that you didnt do it sooner. Seriously if any of you reading this are still running the OEM TB, reach out to me. Im so confident about this new product (and trying to get the word out) that Im even willing to offer a 30 day 100% money back guarantee including covering all the freight cost as well if your not absolutely thrilled with the purchase....at least till I mention otherwise. Now you have zero excuses for not ordering and trying one.

Also it's a 10 min install....remove the clamp from your CAI, disconnect the electrical connector plug to the TB and its four 10mm bolts away. It's a piece of cake.....even guys that don't normally do their own wrenching can tackle this quick project.

$459 plus $23 in freight /insurance....Sales tax only collected if you live in California.

This is the best sub $500 mod you will ever install on an LT powered vehicle mainly because thie upgrade is more of a fix to a really poor OEM heavily flawed design.....that's why the gains are so significant here. Ask any of the guys already running my V2 or just take the time to search.

I have a few in stock at the moment....have more in the pipeline. If you go on my website now and order the correct LT1 or LT4 you WILL receive a new CNC ported V3 TB in the mail....I am no longer building any of the V2's....this supersedes that product.

See pics attached....just cell phone pics but you get the idea. This is a high quality part that runs as good as it looks.

Feel free to PM, email or call if you have any questions (I prefer email and phone over PM's.....you will get a faster response from me if you email or call me)

Look forward to all your feedback as well

Cheers,
Tony

PS.....I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED GUYS THIS IS A PLUG AND PLAY MOD.....NO TUNE REQUIRED

ALSO....IN THIS 1st PIC BELOW WITH THE BLADE OPEN THAT VERTICAL LINE YOU SEE IS A RAZOR BLADE THAT IS HOLDING THE BLADE OPEN SO I CAN GRAB THE PHOTO !!!!

Only a hand ported option but yes

To do a program like this on the CNC requires a ton of time....the quantity of sales on an LT5 just isn't enough to justify the time spent developing a program but we have been hand porting TB's for 25 years so trust me you will still be getting an excellent part

Call me if you have any further questions

Regards,
Tony

Thank you....lots of time invested!

OK....here is the deal. My competitor's advertising is VERY misleading. Their 91 mm TB is in fact an 87mm blade.

Been down this road many times with other customers that felt duped after I shared with them what Im sharing with you now. They are trying to say it flows as much as a TB that theoretically might have a 91mm blade and IMO the advertising is simply deceptive in nature.

If their TB is a 91 mine is a 93 because Im about 50 CFM higher in peak flow. Both of our TB's have 87mm blades....if you have a buddy that owns a 91 have him measure the blade and he will confirm exactly what Im telling you.

Try mine if you have used one of the other brands out there.....no one has been doing this as long as I have (literally decades....Im 63) and this is an excellent example of all that time and experience I have accumulated. Other folks have swapped and liked the way mine drove better.

Hit me back.....would love to work with you.....a phone call would go a long way here in clarifying some things

Mine is 661-714-1317.....text or call anytime but the best times to actually get me on the phone are late in the day....3 PM to 10 PM PST (west coast time)

Cheers,
Tony

Well, haven't done any mods to my 2020 2SS in quite a long time (last was nearly 2 years ago), RST Red Stainless Brake Lines, Castrol SRF & MSD Red Plug Wires back in Feb 2024 when my brother was out visiting...

Ordered up a V3 Mamo Ported Intake tonight, looking forward to getting it installed and see what it does!

It'll be living here with my GM Performance Cold Air Intake...

I'll report back after install and test drives...

Ok, ordered my V3 Ported LT1 intake from Mamo Autosports but still had a few questions, I shit you not, Tony Mamo texted me to see if I was available for a call to answer my questions, seriously??? Who does that these days???

Had a 35 minute, really great discussion with Tony, what a great guy and SUPER passionate about his products!!! Answered all my questions and really showed me what they are doing and the benefits! Ok, what company on earth will give you a "support call" for a product you don't even own yet at 10pm on a Wednesday night??? AWESOME!!!

Insane "Customer Support"!!!

I won't get my LT1 TB for a few weeks as he is currently sold out, he offered me a couple options to get it sooner (no logo, LT4 logo (which he knew I wouldn't want), etc)) but I barely drive my car, so in no rush, I'm willing to wait for the LT1 Logo'd blade V3 intake...

Can't wait to get it... So far, SUPER impressed with Tony and his company and today was my very first interaction with them!

Why can't every company be like this!!! WOW!!!

So Tony showed me what they do...

Here is the Stock LT1 TB, notice the huge lip and the very large crossbar... Both which would greatly affect airflow... (I get this as a Professional Pilot and Aeronautical Engineer)....

Here are the areas they "port"...

And the end result...

As a guy who works with good airflow keeping him alive, that looks like a pretty good improvement to me...

I'll report back in a few weeks when I receive my intake... But at this point, I'm pretty optimistic...

As a Camaro owner who loves older, rowdy musclecars, sure I enjoy my 6th for it's power and performance, but almost MORE so for it's comfort and driveabillity compared to my older cars. I don't chase every last bit of power with my SS, but I DO look for making the drive as good as it can be. I'm interested. I'll be following along to see what these guys say!

Can you share any info on why you think the GM design is what it is? These folks aren't idiots and have been designing similar TBs for decades now. I'd guess a lot of it comes down to emissions and fuel economy rather than outright performance?

As far as not tuning for the new TB, it seems like there will be more air than the system expects, does the MAF and/or MAP sensor compensate with no problem? Would a tune be able to improve the results?

GM engineers are idiots. I work on their crap all the time.
But unfortunately bean counters make the situation for them worse.
So. Yea they use the same type of throttle body because it checks boxes that bean counters make.
Like cheap as possible while barely able to do its job correctly.

Yeah yeah... from a mechanic's POV we're all idiots. As a former mechanic as well as an engineer, mechanics are often correct but often do not understand every compromise and trade-off made during the design process. I am absolutely sure there are reasons for the TB to be cast in the shape it is, and possibly some good reasons for changing that design via porting.
