heater core block or bypass

Hi all, Here I am again. And once again I want to thank all of you for all the assistance you've all given to me over the years. Now I need help again, again... As some of you might know, The Aussie Camaros have a Blend Door Actuator issue. HSV has confirmed it according to forum member "Pickles". And we have to pull the dash to change the part in the wire loom. I'm not doing this if at all possible. So, I figure there is 2 possibilities for a hobbyist like me.

1.) pull the fuse if there is one for the Blend door Actuator when the door is close and it's blowing cold, which sometimes it does. OR
2.) Blocking or bypassing the heater core. Cause it's NEVER in use, ever. the warmest I make it is cool LOW fan. Because I live in Thailand where it freak'in blazing year around. Obviously if there is a dedicated fuse that would be easiest and best. But if not, how can I block or bypass the heater core? I'm sure this is possible. And if the core never receives hot Dexicool than I resolve the problem without the formidable task of pulling my dash. What think the Camaro6 forum? Thank you all again.

You might be able to bypass the heater core right in the engine compartment by rerouting the two heater core hoses…? I don’t have a diagram showing coolant flow unfortunately and those hoses also tie into the coolant reservoir so you don’t want to screw that up.

Well it sucks I missed you will I was in Bangkok this past trip!! I flew out yesterday as I spent the past two weeks in Rayong wrapping up a project there.

LMK if you need anything from the States as I will most likely be returning next month to ship our yacht from the Port. I get two free checked bags with my flights and nothing I have brought over gets checked at Customs due to the classification of travel I am flying upon.

To answer your question, you can most definitely bypass the heater core, and I can even make you a hose for that since one side is 16mm and the other is 19mm in ID. LMK!

Yep, I'm where you are on this. I know who to ask about this. They will know. Thanks

Off topic post... If you were coming back this week, I'd consider it. I need a hydraulic tensioner today. But thanks anyways. I've got what I need for now. Also, the chamber I bought, I know many people on this forum are using it with success. It's not huge, but it will help add more fluid for my interchiller. My manifold temps are normally about 85 F here in scorching Udon Thani, Thailand. They were probably 185 degrees before I made the switch from intercooler to interchiller.. Additionally, this 134A is doing the job. I had to switch as there is no YF here at all, even in new 2025 vehicles. So... this tank cost me $35 from GM with 3/4" barbs. Can't complain about that. I'll have a custom bracket made for about $15. the 10"x10"x1/8" steel plate cost me $5. Labor and welding to fabricate the mount like ADM's from that steel plate will cost me another $5-10USD. I mean, I had my custom exhaust made for $30 (1000 baht). Welding and labor is very reasonable here. On another note, what are you doing in Rayong. I got a friend that lives down there. They have some nice 150+MPH roads down there. Awesome to drive on. If you get tagged by the camera it's a whole $50 for like 70 over. I love it... Too bad I'm on the far north side of the country, or I'd pick you up from BKK and show you where to get in trouble at, LOL: Soi Cowboy baby!!!. I also have a condo about 25 minutes away from the airport, but lately I only use it as a launch pad to leave and return to Thailand. Let me know your schedule cause you never know... I do have to go to Malaysia next month on the 17th.
