1st 60-130 run FBO manual

I know it says invalid due to slope but I wanted to post since its my only run and both sides of my highway will be closed for sometime. This was decent weather for Houston, i did shift early into 3rd (6450) and a little early into 4th(6700). With a little better weather, a little weight reduction and better shifting, i think high 8.7s to 8.9s should be doable.

Temp Dew Humidity
75 °F 71 °F 87 % CALM 0 mph 0 mph 29.99 in 0.0 in Fair

Key Metrics

60–130 mph: 9.08s

Intervals:

60–70: 0.81s

60–100: 4.18s

60–110: 5.68s

60–120: 7.19s

60–130: 9.08s

New run - weather was similar, slightly warmer, but I shifted better. Maybe better/shorter tires could help improve my 60-100 time.

Weather today 6:34 AM 77.1 °F 69.7 °F 78 % South 0.0 mph 0.0 mph 29.97 in - Density Altitude: 1518 feet (80 feet elevation plus weather)

Going to find a safer, flatter spot to run

new best time - DA 1060

69 °F 63 °F 81 % N 3 mph 0 mph 29.89 in

Got it to hook on stock 245 runflats a little better and that got me in the 8s.

Yep you are right next to me on the dragy leaderboard. My DA probably helps at least half a second vs your DA. I went and weighed my car at the same type of weight station after watching your video. I'm at 3560lbs with 1/2 a tank of e85.

Only run for the day, DA was around 100-150. This is the only safe place in my crowded area for a run and unfortunately its downhill on a slope. Car is running a little iffy, run had knock at high rpms.

Clean MAF this morning and noticed my MAF now gets 54.5ish lb/min and 9090hz. Weather will be hard to beat, negative 200 to negative 300 on the runs, couldn't get a valid run for slope and low sats. The runs i did get that are valid, i shifted too early or spun at 60ish. Still running 245/40/20 run flats. On my car, shifting at 6800 vs shifting at 6600 is worth at least .2 in my runs.

What is the significance of 60-130?
Its not really hard to make a car go from going to going faster.
Its much harder make a car go from stopped to going fast.

60 pull is the very bottom of 3rd or mostly the top of 2nd. I think the top of 3rd is around 90 and i know for sure the top of 4th is 141.

60-130 is much more indicative of how powerful the car really is, I think that's why people are interested in it.

0-60 times are pretty much the same on this car at any power level beyond 600 hp, because it's old school RWD and you can't get traction on the street from a dead stop with normal, non-DR tires.

That makes sense.
I feel like my car has a weird hole from a 60 roll. Just because it feels like if i start in 2nd i pretty much immediately have to shift to 3rd. And if i start in 3rd it has to lug through for a little bit before it really starts to pull.
70 to 140 is a whole different story.

Agreed, it's a whole different game with the manual. The auto has its own challenges, but both the A8 and the A10, especially the latter, have gearing better suited for this exercise (the A8 has a chonky rpm drop from 4th to 5th that is "smoothed out" on the A10 with an extra inbetween gear ratio).

Also, on an auto even the first few "bang" WOT shifts won't drop your acceleration into the negative, and I don't think even the best NLS M6 operators can achieve that, however impressive their lack of fear holding the throttle at 99.6% is

I wonder if the MJK option put into an SS would be better for 60-130 runs vs the MM6
