Really discontinued?

Just picked up a '23 2SS 1LE and it's got about every bell and whistle except for the aluminum pedals. I tracked down what I think is the correct part number, 85531355 but everywhere I look it's listed as out of stock and or discontinued! They just stopped making the Camaro at the end of MY '24 so what gives? Is it really discontinued?

Not saying this is definitely discontinued (looks like it though) but yes GM is a garbage company and a lot of camaro parts are on forever “back order” or discontinued.

Don’t damage that splitter. 16-18 guys haven’t been able to get a splitter for a while now. I’m sure ours is next.

gmpartsdirect.com (operating out of Winston-Salem, NC) has had a nearly spotless record with me over the last 10 years,

Many Camaro parts are now discontinued, GM doesn't really care anymore and the only parts that are and probably will still be available are those shared with other GM vehicles.

That said, looks like either the original Chinese manufacturer or a copycat has similar products out on amazon, check out this one for example that also contains a dead pedal cover (this variant is for auto trans cars): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXDZQ1ZX

Not sure why you're surprised their discontinued....they are one of the most popular modifications you can do to these cars.....kidding of course, but as others have said gmpartsdirect has been flawless for me as well...

Thanks for the tip on gmpartsdirect.com.

Isn't that always the way when you get into a new car brand? I was a died in the wool Ford guy my whole life, that is until they stopped building anything I wanted. Went over to Dodge and had to learn all over again, had a fling with a Mercedes S550 too and same thing, new learning curve. This time with the Camaro (my first Chevy) I thought I did all the upfront leg work to not be surprised about anything, NEVER thinking that OEM parts would be an issue.

You can get them on Aliexpress pretty cheap. I've had mine on for years with zero issues.
Just search for "Camaro pedal covers"

Found these on eBay, is there any fitment differences between '16 and '23? These specify '16-'18 for some reason. https://www.ebay.com/itm/17445365573...9e3f88bb&pfm=1

Edit: Does anyone know if there is any difference between the accelerator pedal in an automatic vs the manual trans for my '23 SS 1LE?

The Alloy Sport Pedals Kits (8551355 for auto; 8551356 for manual) are discontinued, but you can still order the individual parts:

84960561, accelerator for Camaro, CT4 and CT5
85625852, brake pedal cover (auto) for Camaro, ATS and CTS
85625853, brake pedal cover (manual) for Camaro, ATS and CTS
85625856, clutch pedal cover for Camaro, ATS and CTS

The accelerator is still in production for the CT4 and CT5.

The brake pedal and cover have changed on the CT4 and CT5 though, so I don't know if the one for the Camaro is really still available, but at least you can try to place an order. As a bonus, buying the pieces separately costs less than the kit.

That's AWESOME! Thanks very much for the info. I have the accelerator and brake cover on order. Somehow the original owner of my 1LE lost the rubber plug on the accelerator so I had to order that as well, 40 f'ing bucks!

I like posting up the end result of my threads in case anyone else has the same question, so here it is. It took a hot minute, but I was able to source the throttle, brake cover and bolt cover (mine is missing for some reason) individually. Hopefully I'll have some shop time this weekend to drop it all in.

Thanks to everyone that pitched in!
