Turn Signal Bulb Replacement?

I am trying to replace the passenger side turn signal bulb on my 21 3LT. I have not been able to locate the point where the bulb socket attaches to the headlamp housing? I have a manual that shows it being accessible under hood (see attached). That configuration does not seem to apply to this vehicle. I found pictures of early headlight housings that seem to have bulbs in the noted location. Later housings I looked at do not appear to have an obvious bulb removal location. Attached are photos of used headlight housings. I have not found anywhere that appears to provide bulb removal access.

I suspect I am missing something simple. I would appreciate insight from those have experienced changing the turn signal bulb.

Manuals are not often correct for all variants, and do not always get updated during refreshes.

Turn signal Diagnostic

The 3LT does have the "up-level" headlights. I have yet to find details on any service tasks except R&R. So it makes sense they are non-serviceable.

I would expect to get a DTC pointing to what the problem is but my 20 year old OBDII reader shows nothing. I am in the process of reading full vehicle DTCs to see if that shows anything?

There are diagnostic procedures listed in the repair manual that are over 20 steps long. My hopes of a simple turn signal bulb replacement have been dashed.
