It's really frustrating hearing the shop speak about LT4 like they are the same engine in the Silverados. Besides the fact that the are well documented issues with the Late 17 ' early 18 builds with oil pump issues. You'd think they knew this.

Oh come onnnnnnnnnn, you don't expect an "influencer" on the interwebs to actually do their due diligence and mention those things do you?

Cool video, but they obviously do not know much about LT4 specifics.

When I had my car being worked on there were 3 other ZL1's in the shop at the same time with oil pump failures.

Dave is a CROOK. He ripped off a guy on an engine build. He got caught red handed the guy exposed him. Dave ended up paying the guy double his money to keep quiet
That guy is a TOOL

As many oil pump failures like this happened on 17/18's, I'm surprised they didnt recognize this as the cause instantly. Lots of wrong guesses in the comments too. Simply an oil pump failure, period.

Yet another example of why you either do the work yourself or take it to a performance shop that specializes in LS/LT platforms.

It was interesting to see how just the front of the 1st main bearing was worn. Dave knew right away by looking at the bearing that it was a PD blower car.
