Mercon ULV in 10a Zl1?

I recently got a a transmission fluid change done on my 2018 Camaro Zl1 and I noticed after the transmission felt… different? Specifically when the transmission is cold. Transmission jerks or slips in auto mode in the lower gears and lower rpm. Once it’s warmed up it gets a lot better and in manual mode those issues aren’t there at all. After looking at my receipt of where I took the car to get serviced I noticed they used Mercon ULV which is a ford fluid. Google says they’re similar but not exactly the same.

How do I go about this? I was thinking already planning to go back there to have them make sure the fluid is properly full but I’m wondering what my next steps should be. Thanks!

Find a shop that isn’t full of stupid people lmao

Flush it out and get the right fluid.

The Ford A10 and the GM A10 are from the same family of transmissions and designed by the same vendor;
however, Ford's modifications kept closer to the original design and have fewer issues than GM who decided to design in, planned obsolescence.

Ford's fluid has higher temperature tolerances than GM's, and AMSOIL has published data with higher overall specifications than both Ford and GM standard specs.

False. The 10L90 used in the ZL1 was designed from the ground up by GM and only used by GM.

The 10L80 was used in the SS and THAT TRANSMISSION was shared development with Ford who took the engineering lead on the project. Ford used it as the 10R80. But it’s a different transmission than the 10L90 which has a higher torque input rating.
