ZL1 Shifting Problems (User error)

I have been driving manual cars all of my life. Muncie 4 speeds, Tremec 5 speeds, T56 and TR6060. I had the TR6060 in my 20212 ZL1 and now in my 2023 ZL1. This morning driving to work and playing with an F-Pace Jaguar, I accidentally shifted from 3rd to 2nd. I immediately recognized it and pushed the clutch back in before the engine could over rev so I am pretty sure I caused no damage. The problem is that this is the 3rd time I've done this in this car. I never had this problem in my 2012ZL1 with the same transmission so I can't figure out what I am doing different.
Has anyone else had a similar issue with the 6th gen Camaro and the TR6060?

I've had two Camaro M6's (2SS / ZL1) and a C7 M7 (also a Tremec) and I've not had problems missing gears.

Firm and deliberate as my pappy taught me.

Here's a tip for shifting from 3rd to 4th in any car with a gear pattern like ours: Twist your wrist 180* to the left - so your thumb is facing down - while shifting. (I do this for the 5th to 6th gear shift as well.) Orienting your hand this way will help prevent pulling the gear lever towards your body while shifting; see reference pic, below.

Edit: Fixed a typo and added pic.

I also used the hand placement model to avoid the lower gear

Thanks for the tips. I am not sure what I am doing different other than getting old.

No Hurst shifter yet? That'll fix it.

There is a rev limiter. Might be the way you are sitting, position of the seat, hand positions on the wheel, that are causing you to pull to the left.
