CHP adds 2024 1LE’s to Fleet
CHP recently added 1LE’s and Silverado’s to their fleet.
I thought it was interesting to see 1LE instead of normal trim, finding the window sticker told that these were ordered as Fleet cars. Filtering fleet and 1LE, I found just 10 identical 1LE’s since 2020.

That might go back to the 3rd and 4th Gen days. It used to be driveshaft, brakes, and some bushings, so I wonder if there's some older guy like me doing the fleet orders, lol. Or - academy training. I can here them train when the wind is blowing the correct direction. I can hear them on the gun range, too, lol.

From the video, it looks like their in transit spring spacers are still in from the ride height haha, still badass I remember seeing them ripping the 4th gens on the i-5.

That is pretty cool. Like the B4C cars from the 3rd and 4th gens.
I'm not a police officer, so I'm just speculating, but I would think the 10-speed auto would be a better choice. Also, if it comes with the 1LE Recaro seats, that's not going to be easy getting in and out of the car quickly in full police uniform and duty belt. Maybe they were ordered for a different purpose and those things don't matter. Cool to see anyway.
