Carplay / Radio Issue
Text to Talk / Carplay issues
I Recently got a 2021 ZL1. Having a few “issues” I was wondering if anyone has dealt with. To start I have a 2019 Silverado and use the same dash cam/phone/settings etc. Issue 1: Text to Talk: doesn’t work. I can listen to texts but when I try and respond it won’t transcribe. Issue 2: Wifi will not stay connected. It will connect and 5-10 seconds later drop off. Also noticed if I click the auto time date it goes to 2014

calls work fine with the microphone
Also the front camera when turning on goes black (faint horizontal squiggley lines)

I tried the free WiFi for one month on my 2016 and though it was terrible. What you described was how mine worked. I live in an area with spotty coverage though, but it didn't seem to matter much even when I was in good neighborhood.

Well I talked to GM and found the car is not "registered" to onstar. Thought I could add a month of wifi to maybe get it to update? Could this be a possible reason and need to activate the car?

Found the fix. It was my iphone
Settings --> General --> Keyboard --> turn off dictation Restart phone Re-Enable dictation
