HUD

Can it be added to 1SS. Other than windshield, what may be needed?

This is probably not what you want to hear, but I'd let it go. Or trade my car for a 1SS 1LE, 2SS or ZL1.

You'll need a windshield, a HUD module, a projector unit, dash controls that you'd have to apply to your current dash (ie precision cut an opening for the HUD switch block and the frame), wiring harnesses, custom module programming plus a metric ton of installation labor (and that's just what I can think of off the top of my head).

I love my HUD in the 2SS, but it isn't something one can't live without.

I agree, you likely aren't adding it for any reasonable price/effort... I love the HUD in my 2SS, but none of my other cars have it and wouldn't spend the effort and money to add it to a car that didn't come with it from the factory...

Now my "other ride", yeah, I need the HUD...

Figured it'd be lots, but not that much. Love finding things to do to the Camaro. Cap't, I fly my Jug with no HUD

Was thinking the same about flying with no HUD, but I can't top that razorback!

One of our club members has an LT1 that he added an aftermarket HUD to. It includes an appliqué on the windshield as a projection surface. I’ll see if he can provide pics and details.
