Ambient Temp Sensor

So the last few times I've gotten in my 2017 SS to drive it, the outside temp is reading "--". I've seen where pulling the negative battery terminal for a while then putting it back on may work. Going to try that this evening.

If it doesn't, look like the sensor is behind the front bumper on the passenger side. I haven't looked at how hard it is to get to... Anyone have any luck getting it out without taking the bumper or a whole host of other crap off?
