Big power on stock lt1

Curious what is everyone’s thoughts on a completely stock motor 6th gen camaro ss on E85 (with supported fueling) and about 8-10 lbs of boost. Do you think this shit would blow up after 1 pull or it would live for a while.

For context car has a p1sc-1 blower
headers, Xpipe
and dual in tank DW 400 pumps with FPR

i want to do full lt4 high side fueling on E and pulley down all while stock motor.

Well I can tell you this. I popped 2 pistons 2 rods, and cracked a crankshaft, without boost and with only daily mods: Headers, LT2, 95mm TB, CAI, E85, X-Pipe and a Tune.

But then again I'm told I'm the proverbial lottery winner more often than not.

In your case looking at about 600-650+ hp/tq with a SC. At that time I was only at about 470 rwhp and rwtq, based on guesstimate, you'll be at about 550 rwhp and rwtq or more with the other mods.

Take that for what you will. I am sure the SC guys will chime in with sound advice.

8-10 pounds on E85 should be low 600 WHP range which is fine. E85 is key and of course make sure your fueling is covering what you’re commanding. I’d stay on the rich side, .82 lambda or so.

Fwiw I made 600whp on E82 @ 7-8 psi back in 2019 with cat delete pipes, LT5 tb, and rotofab big gulp. Fuel system was LT4 fuel injectors, LPE big bore HPFP, LT4 tank pump with JMS. TR7ix plugs.

2020, I dropped 2 pulley sizes(10-11psi), big gulp, 103tb, +30 injectors, E60 fuel, metco breather. (680-700whp)

15k miles and a plethora of hard pulls later still going strong.

As I have mentioned in several of threads like this one in the past. Proper fuel system, tuning, and Ethanol are key to longevity.

The LT4 lowside can handle that on basically full E? Even with a JMS booster I was worrying Id have to get a DSX intank Dual Pump to handle that. If the LT4 lowside with a JMS can handle ~700whp E70-E80 on 7-8 psi then I may just go that route. But whats more limiting on the Lt4 fuel system the low side or high side pump?

wow that seems like just reallyyy bad luck. I was headers, E85 making 450ish whp for over a year with lots of dogging no issues

Stock pistons and rods here... Enough fuel with a good tune and you'll be fine. A cam will give you a little more room with the fuel lobe and less dynamic compression.

I am just glad I could fill the statistical quota for everyone else that way they do not have problems with their builds.

How are you getting your tuning done? Rolling it yourself?

I’ll chime in for now and hopefully King will jump in and clarify the limits…he knows them well. Generally in terms of weak links, it goes: in tank first, HPFP w/stock cam shortly afterwards, then injectors last. Adding the JMS helps the LT4 low side a good bit but you’ll have to log it and see. On the rest, LT4 HPFP & injectors just aren’t great for running much E honestly. That’s why port injection has taken off with newer products like the TooHighPSI setup. That didn’t exist when I bought my LPE/+52% setup or I would have done it much sooner.

King tunes his own ride (and others).
