A Little DLR help please

I know most of you won't have had this issue. But I'm praying here that somebody has an idea of WTF is going on.....
Here's my conundrum. I bought this car that came without DLRs. I don't think any of them had DLRs that came out of HSV Australia. And the DLR Plastic Blockers looked like (Where is the emoji for poop?). So I bought DLR's from EBay (Freemotor) that came with limited instructions which I'm sure in most cases would be fine. But I'm having issues. I put in the lamps in, and they didn't work. I left them in until I returned to Thailand cause they look way better than the blocks. After seeing that "Chev1299"'s (I think that's his handle) spliced the sidemarker's line to power the DLR's, I flat switched the couplers, cause I have both sets of couplers on each side. Then neither worked lamps. I switched them back and the side markers went on. I did turn on the car and manually turned on the lamps as "Frost" said, every scanario, but they still didn't work. I can't believe both lamps are bad brand new. I checked the fuse box, nothing to see there. I don't understand because when I switch the couplers, they still didn't work. but they when I switch them back, the side markers worked. What am I missing here? Does anybody have any idea? What am I missing?

96 views and no ideas..... OK. Since i know the lamps do work, I'm going to wire them myself. I like having the idea of being able to control them anyways and I think i might color the lens. Not sure how to do that yet, but red would be awesome if I ever decide to get the demon eyes
