Antigravity battery alternatives
Just wondering if anyone has looked into any alternative to the almost $1k antigrav batteries?
Found this on Amazon - just not entirely sure if this would work for Camaro’s https://a.co/d/42H9RNf |

I think you would want a 100ah not a 50.

I’m running the Antigravity 40AH one in my Camaro now and it’s OK, would probably do a tick bigger next time around. 50AH is fine on an NA SS but on supercharged cars if you want to run your intercooler pump and cooling fan at the track I’d go a little bigger.
Edit: I’ve never tried the Amazon lithium batteries but it’s probably made at the same factory in China as Antigravity.

I’d assume so since I’m also assuming you’re not drag racing the car and trying to cool the car down between rounds using the battery power.

I had the same thoughts recently.
1. Lifepo Batteries can use nearly 100% of it's capacity, unlike AGM which only can use ~50% before voltage drops too much. That means a 50AH is more than enough. 2. Most Lifepo4 Battery sellers even say, they are not made for cars. The reason is the sensitive in built battery control module which cuts power, if the temperature or voltage gets too high. You don't wanna loose your fuel pressure/ignition under WOT nor the power steering. 3. very sensitive against temperatures. You can't use them if its colder than 32°F and 140°F is often the upper limit. 4. and I've heard, they like to explode if they are not treated right. + needs specific charger |

Would never spend that kind of money on a battery, the 1k one that is.

What's wrong with a regular old lead acid battery?

An additional 30 pounds of weight.

Yeah, but it's where you want the weight right over the right rear tire. Now if the battery was under the hood, I would have had a lithium a long time ago.

Such as: https://4xspower.com There is some dependencies as well when it comes to our cars: Amperage Hours among other things. Might want to familiarize yourself with our stock battery statistics first before you jump into randomly picking one of these things up. And you won't find a good one for our cars for $200. They don't exist. If I remember right these are going to be the closet thing to match the SS you might be looking for, but as I said you won't find anything for the price range you are looking for: https://4xspower.com/products/li-s925 https://4xspower.com/products/li-s1200
