P00E9 code

Anybody dealt with this one? I see it's the IAT3 sensor as far as the description of it goes, but I was under the impression that these didn't have an IAT3 and technically IAT3 was actually a computer calculated PID using IAT1 and IAT2 and combining them.

This code has popped up on me twice. The way it has triggered is by the following: after two hard starts with full E85 using remote start then re cranking it using the push button start.

So by the third try after the E has stopped killing the car, it stays running, but the code has popped up by then.

I think the "MAT" is also a "MAP." These sensors attached to the intake manifold now typically report both temperature and pressure.

I appreciate that. So it appears that IAT3 is actually a real sensor and not IAT2 and IAT3 of course monitors MAT's. I think it's safe to assume that the sensor behind the blower is either suspect or not liking the fact that the car keeps dying on remote starts.

A scan tool should let you see what the MAT is reporting. If the data is out of whack, it might contribute to the stalling.

You know that's the thing. I check info using my iDash and the IAT1 appears fine at the freeze frame error. I don't think it's displaying IAT3 information when i check freeze, however, I'll have to recheck that and see what's going on. Worse comes to worse I'll just check the data over with a regular scan tool.

I believe the remote start fails automatically if the check engine light is on. They don't want the car sitting there idling when something is wrong with it.
