Oil Weight?? New Katech Oil Pump

I have a 2018 ZL1 with a new Katech oil pump installed. Should I change the recommended oil weight?

I was told to run 10w 30

We recommend the updated 0W40 spec oil in most stock bottom end builds.

Even when using the car on the road course? Or is still running the 15W50 ok?

Jannetty Racing recommended 10w 30 with the new Katech pump. I have no mods at all. Everything else is stock

So Katech Mike,, 0w 40 for everyday driving ???

I was recommended 0-40 by Jannetty back in mid 2022. Based on that recommendation and what I'm seeing from Katech I'm sticking to 0-40.

Yes. 15W50 for track use. 0W40 for everything else.

During these Winter months when I am not driving the ZLE as much as I like and since I am not tracking the car until Feb/March... I switched back to the Amsoil 0W-40 Powersports Formula. This oil gives better internal coating during downtimes, sitting in the garage but also clings to the metal parts so when I do a cold-start, my internals are protected not only against wear but corrosion!!

IMO Changing weights within the range of 0w-40 and 15w-50 wont hurt so long you are sticking to full synthetic. See the chart below. I run a 5w-50 Supercar now, with my remote oil cooler, but ran the 0w-40 supercar before then.
