A10 "hangs" at 7-8K rpm while accelerating

Had this happen in my '21 3LT this morning on the way to work and was able to replicate it once more.

Was driving in Sport mode. I started off easy from a stop, then got on the throttle (maybe 3/4 pedal, but not floored) at low speed but after the car has shifted out of first. The tach goes up as normal, but instead of the quick A10 shift at around 7K rpm, the tach needle goes up to about 7,500 rpm, past redline, and hangs there for about a second before finally shifting to the next gear. (In retrospect, I should have gone into manual mode after the shift to be more specific which gears are involved.)

This is not the same as when the car holds RPM in performance shift mode after backing off the gas pedal, because I was holding the pedal steady. The symptom is similar to how I believe torque management feels when you open the throttle quickly at a point the computer does not like it - a cut in power and a noticeable feeling of deceleration - except this is happening where the rpm's are a lot higher than when I have had torque management kick in. There were no apparent traction or stability control issues. The two places this happened were dry, good condition roadways and I was accelerating in a straight line.

Any thoughts or suggestions? A web search just brought up a Mustang with a similar symptom, but I didn't find any Camaro6 posts describing an A10 symptom like this...

So I can't consistently get this to recur, but did nail down that it is the 2nd to 3rd shift that has the intermittent hang under the described circumstances.

Mentioned the symptom to my dealership service advisor to see if he thought it was worth dropping off the car to see if they could replicate, but he just said to continue to keep an eye on it and that no associated codes were showing.
