BMR vs Vorshlag Camber plates
Happy Thanksgiving, all.
Anybody running BMR camber plates? If so, what do you think? I’m ready to buy a set for my daily with 19x11 fronts that does a few HPDEs a year. Not sure if I need to spring for Vorshlag at more than twice the price of the newer BMRs. I’ve always known BMR to be a trusted brand. I’ll probably get a happy number around 3 degrees and just leave it there if tire wear is OK. Thanks!

I know they’re good.
Do you have experience with the BMR plates?

I haven't used or studied the BMR camber plates. I have used their adjustable front sway bar for our cars. Like everyone else who used it found, the crappy frame bushings/brackets that came with that bar failed. If I'm not mistaken, their adjustable rear bar also has a problem hitting the knuckle on the softest setting (there's a thread or two on that as well). Based on their track record with these other parts, I would personally not be inclined to try their camber plates.
I do know that literally the entire reason Vorshlag started as a business was because most of the camber plates on the market at that time were of poor quality and/or design and failed over time. Their early offerings were camber plates designed to maximize adjustability and last way longer than other offerings. If you buy their product, you get a piece designed by an engineer and manufactured in house to specs far above what other places tend to offer. I think the choice is clear.

BMR doesn't track test their stuff, so I would go with Vorshlag. I know people that have tracked Vorshlag regularly for years.

Including the proprietor/engineer, Terry Fair. Sometimes he tests them a little more than intended, but I guarantee he isn't holding back!

No experience with BMR.
Just bought a set of Vorshlag camber plates and they showed up a few days ago. I haven't installed them yet, but after unboxing them and looking them over, Wow they are a nice product.

I have extensive experience with BMR in the Mustang world. Mostly, their products are good, and everything you buy comes with a considerable amount of real world testing and evolving. They are pretty big in the Mustang world, so most everything has feedback to check (via multiple sites). I have spent a lot of time on the phone with them, and their customer support is mostly good, and the people I have talked to are knowledgeable and mostly friendly.
But . . . . I have a set of Vorshlag camber plates ready to go on, and I have called them a few times with questions. The person/people you get are absolutely fantastic. They have lots of knowledge, including track use, for the Camaro. They also have great knowledge on other parts they sell, like the SPL suspension parts we often combine with the camber plates. Importantly, that knowledge is combined with zero condescension. Anybody who has been building cars knows you are often stuck getting answers from someone who treats you like you're an idiot or wasting their time. You get no such thing from Vorshlag. Just some unsolicited feedback
